" It's been 2 days since my dad's death, his funeral is another 2 days away, which is Sunday so today is Friday "

" Things changed with everyone, my mom refuses to look at RJ, I guess when she looks at him she sees my dad, what's that big word called, oh yeah, understandable, they do look alike, he's like his twin "

" She stays out late more often claiming she's working but they turned off the heat this morning "

" RJ been depressed and he got a game tonight, he don't even want us there so I'm gonna' be home alone with momma and he'll be back tomorrow morning "

" It's going on after 9 and mom hasn't cooked yet, I walked out my bedroom after finishing my homework and walked downstairs, I stopped when I saw my mom sniffing a line of white stuff on the coffee table and drowning down a bottle of red stuff in it "

" She let herself fall on the couch crying, I felt so bad but whatever she was doing it didn't look right "

" I decided skipping dinner just for tonight won't hurt, I walked back upstairs in my bedroom, a place I once calmed home felt cold with no love "

" I was watching TV and all of the sudden my mom ran in my room and she started hitting me with a thick long leather belt, I didn't understand why, I didn't do anything wrong "

" I'm screamed in pain running away anywhere I could try getting away from her, all she kep't yelling was " this is all your fault "

" I lost my balance and feel down hard breaking down in tears "

" I felt her grab my hair literally dragging my small body all around the upstairs hallway punching me and now downstairs "

" My throat was sore from all the screaming and crying, who is this person was beating me to death, the person I used to call mom "

" She finally stopped and just glared at me, I refused to look at her "

" She back handed me forcing me to look at her, I didn't recognize her, it wasn't because she looked a hot mess it was because I don't see her as my mom anymore "

" I'm sorry god "

" YOU BITCH " Raquel yelled.

Rolonda punched her one last time and Raquel blacked out

Rolonda went back to the couch to finish sniffing her cocaine and the rest of her red wine

She looked at the clock and realized she was late for work

She jumped up ran upstairs to get ready just leaving Raquel there unconscious

RJ Pov

" I got home after chilling with my friends after the Varsity football game we one, I left Raquel home with mom, I hope they spent some good quality time together "

" It was a little after 9, 10 minutes away from 10 in the morning "

" I walked in the condo and my mom was cooking up a storm in the kitchen, I looked at the table, all I saw was chocolate chip and twix pancakes, bacon, muffins, grits, rice, biscuits, waffles, sausage patties, sausage links, eggs, hash browns, and a small bowl with fresh strawberries "
" I liked my lips as my mouth
watered "

" Thank you god, how'd she know I was hungry "

" My mom came out the kitchen taking off her aprin and sat at the table with just 2 plates, where the third one at, she still got a daughter "

" I love my mom in all but I don't play bout' that Favoritism shit, if my sister not eating I'm not eating either "

" Mom where Raquel at, you didn't sit out a plate for her " RJ said.

" She was sleeping so peacefully upstairs I decided not to wake her, sit down, relax don't worry bout' her, just enjoy your feast and eat, yah' know yo' daddy always loved my cooking, planning this funeral is expensive " Rolonda said.

RJ zoned out after he heard

" she was sleeping so peacefully upstairs, I didn't wanna' wake her "

He could care less about what she said after that

" Mom you know you wrong for that, you can't starve her just cause' she sleep, wake her up matter fact don't worry bout' it, I'll do it " RJ said walking away climbing up the stairs towards his little sister bedroom.

He walked in and she was woken up but she had a busted lip, swollen eye, nose looked like it's been almost broken, and she had bruises and scars all over her body

Her mom also left her alone last night by herself

" OH MY GOD, RAQUEL WHAT HAPPENED " RJ yelled shocked running towards her picking her up bridal style out the bed and to the bathroom to clean her up.

" She beat me, she beat me so bad, she kep't saying it was all my fault, she left me alone unconscious on the floor while she went to work " Raquel said.

" How long did you sleep " RJ said watching Raquel undress but turned around.

He wasn't tryna make her uncomfortable even though he wasn't even paying attention to her small body

" No more then 5 hours, I particularly slept on the floor last night unconscious, she just left me there " Raquel said.

RJ was ready to beat his mom just like she beat his harmless little sister last night but she's all they got, doesn't mean he's just gonna' let her think what she did was ok

RJ became more smart very smart lately, Rolonda been sniffing cocaine getting high drinking mostly red wine and other alcohol getting drunk at the same time

Oviously those drugs took over her brain, it's over, the old Rolonda might never return or will she

At this point anything can happen what happens next
