Chapter 4

Figaro Castle, middle of the night...
Edgar was laying in bed as he kept having the same dream over and over... He kept seeing Sabin disappear and his father die... Again and again... He got trouble sleeping after the 5th night. Edgar paced around Figaro Castle to check up on everything, especially the big engine room on B3F, the huge engine that is supposed to provide power to all the mechanical modification that are going to be installed. Edgar has a workshop of his own however, where he creates his own things like the Auto-Crossbow he made a year ago but he wanted to try something else... Something new... He started working on it through the night, trying get his thoughts off his father and brother. When the sun started to shine through the windows, Edgar checked up on the projects going on in Figaro Castle to make sure it all goes as planned but when he walked into the throne room, he saw Locke sitting on his throne. Locke looked up, smiled and said: "If that isn't my humble servant" Edgar laughed as he approached Locke, shook his hand and said: "Hey Locke, so soon already?" Locke nodded as he asked: "You know that group I am in right?" Edgar thought and doubly asked: "The.... Returners right?" Locke nodded and asked: "They sent me here to ask you to join us but also do one other thing..." Edgar's eyes widened as he said: "You want me to oppose to Gesthal and his band of killers?" Locke looked at Edgar and said: "Now you mention it like that.... Yeah but we also want you to set up an alliance with them so we can get inside information on their whereabouts and the size of their army" Edgar doubted the plan and said: "You know that that Kefka guy gives me the creeps..." Locke laughed and said: "He gives everyone the creeps, probably Gesthal himself too!" Edgar laughed out loud and agreed to Locke's proposition to be a double agent for The Returners and said: "If this goes south, you owe me a new castle" Locke smiled and said: "Don't worry, nothing will happen to Figaro Castle on my watch" Edgar and Locke spend the day together like friends that didn't see each other for several years though it was two days ago that Locke was at Figaro Castle but the biggest concern is... Will it all work???
