Envious and vengeful

I get off the floor and cover my mom with a blanket. I leave the house and instantly look dial Jane's number. I use a spare phone that lies around in the house for emergencies. Morgan is living with my aunt right now. She shouldn't be subjected to this kind of situation. I call her again and again. But it goes straight to voicemail.

I wipe tears furiously and call Ellie, her phone is switched off. I start running towards Ellie's house.

I reach there in 5 minutes. I knock on the door but it opens on its own. It's not locked. I rush inside and up the stairs to Ellie's room.

As I move closer to the room I hear a familiar male sound. My heart starts thumping against my chest. It can't be.

I softly push the door open just to have my heart ripped out again. It actually surprises me how things can hurt so much.

Ellie notices me and pushes Erik off her. She covers her bra with the blanket in front of her, leaving Erik with his shorts on display.

I shake my head with disgust and start running down the stairs. I bang into Josh. I apologise and run out before he can say anything.

It's pouring outside and I'm drenched from head to toe in seconds. I hear footsteps following me out of the house. I ignore whoever it is. Someone grabs my hand and pulls me towards them and I come face to face with my 'best friend'.

"You don't have any right to be mad at me!" She yells. I can tell she's crying even with the rain.

"I don't even wanna see your face right now" I say and turn around but she grasps my hand and pulls me roughly. She twists my hand and I wince in pain. She looks me in the eye with a furious look in her eyes, full of hate. My eyes burn as tears flow out.

"No don't you walk away from me" she says leaving my hand. I want to leave but I can't I'm frozen to the ground I can't move.

"You took everything away from me. I never had friends and then I got Jane. She was my best friend and then you got back from your vacation with your perfect family and I found out that Jane already had a number 1 best friend. You two were always closer I knew it. She would always call you first, tell you things first. I was always second choice for her, for my parents for everyone except for my brother but no you had to take him away from me too. You broke his heart and he left me to stay away from you. Now it's my turn to take something away from you, your precious relationship, your perfect boyfriend." She says a glint of evil in her eyes. I've never seen her like this.

"You didn't take anything from me, Rachel did that part" I say, somehow finding this situation somewhat funny.

"What?" She asks frowning.

"Erik cheated on me with Rachel a long time ago we are over. You however are next to Rachel's torture list. " I say.

"Ugh" she groans frustrated.

I turn around and walk away as the rain gently mixes with my tears. So much for a perfect life.

Now I know this chapter was a little unexpected. It took a twist well there's more to come.
