Chapter 13

Day before winter break,West City High

" Yes!! I made it!" Bulma exclaimed as she jumped up and down.

She had just found out she made the team. And to top that off she was at the top of the list and it wasn't alphabetical order.

" Congrats B, I already knew you were gonna make the team."

Chi chi tried to give her a hug but she kept moving so it was almost impossible.

" Ooo look, they got the boys basketball team posted up as well."

The dark haired cheerleader pointed to the paper that was about a couple inches away from the girl's.

" Yes, Goku made the team!"

Bulma ceased her excitement to roll her eyes. Of course Goku would make the team. Him,Vegeta,and Krillin were basically the best on the team.

She frowned when Zarbon came in mind. He was one of the starting players last year and she hated to admit it but he was actually pretty good.

" So did Vegeta, Krillin, and Piccolo." Bulma chimed in.

" Speaking of Vegeta, where is he and the others?"

Chi chi looked back at her friend with a shrug.

" I don't know, I saw him earlier when we arrived to school."

In fact, the same thing happened to Bulma and Vegeta. They had arrived to school together but Bulma was too eager to see if she made the team rather than listen to her neighbor.

"BOh wait I remember!" The Mau snapped her finger as she recalled earlier this morning.

" He said that him and the guys had to go to the library."

Bulma's eyebrows knitted together curiously as to what she just heard.

That's strange, last time I checked Vegeta and libraries don't mix.

" Wanna go see what they're up to?"

A mischievous grin appeared upon the blunette's face. You didn't even need an answer, the look said it all.

As the two made their way into the library Bulma walked up to the help desk.

" Hey Baba."

The older lady ceased her work, recognizing the voice from anywhere. She turned around and gave Bulma a winkled smirk.

" Why isn't it Bulma and Chi chi, and may I ask what can I do for you young ladies?"

The librarian had a dullish pink hair and was so short she usually had to stand up on steps in order for people to see her.

" By any chance have you see Goku, Vegeta, and Krillin come in her by any chance."

Baba stroked her saggy chin before a light bulb came on.

" Ah yes I saw those three. They asked me where the romance books were."

Thanking Baba, the two girls silently made their way towards the romance section. Bulma could hear harsh whispering so she told Chi chi to cease her movement.

They hid behind a nearby aisle where they couldn't be seen but could hear the conversation.

" Hey Vegeta, do you think the girls would flip if they knew what we were doing?"

Vegeta stopped to picture Bulma's reaction.

" Bulma wouldn't flip, she would mock me an eternity. Stupid Ms.Cravesman for making us do this stupid challenge."
