Chapter 16

Next day:Ski slopes at the resort

The gang stood in front of the skiing area of the resort. There was a hot refreshment station with a ski lift. The lift led to a giant snow hill that had to be at least over 3,000 ft tall.

Bulma looked amused as she scanned the slope up and down. It certainly has been a while since she's been skiing. Chi chi and the rest of the gang, including Victoria and Luke, did the same.

" Well, are you guys just gonna stand there and gawk like idiots or are we gonna get moving."

Vegeta spoke,unimpressed by the large pile of snow.

Sure it's been awhile since he's gone skiing but it couldn't hurt for a memory jogger.

Hopefully.

Bulma was the first to snap out of her gaze with a frown.

" Who are you calling an idiot?!" She spoke under her breath as she followed Vegeta to the ski lift along with the rest of the gang.

" Vegeta is such a jerk sometimes I swear."

Chi chi whispered harshly to Goku who only managed to laugh.

" I've grown use to it over the years."

He grabbed Chi chi's wrist, guiding her up the slope to the ski lift along with the rest of the gang.

Everyone took their appropriate seats on the lift as it slowly moved forward. The seating was by couples of course.

Bulma looked down at her feet,the ground gradually moving farther and farther away.

I don't remember it being this high.

Vegeta could tell she was uncomfortable, it didn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

He placed an arm around her shoulder, pulling her closer to him. She jumped slightly at the contact.

" Don't look down."

His voice was so soft that Bulma almost thought it was her imagination.

She looked up at Vegeta to see him staring down back at her. His eyes where what really threw Bulma off.

Instead of his usual sarcastic look,his eyes were soft.

" Ok."

She placed her head softly on his shoulder.

" Why can't you be like that!"

Juu complained, smacking her short boyfriend across the back of his skull. Krillin sighed as he rubbed the back of his head.

" Because whenever I try to, 80% of the time you end up trying to put me in a headlock or something."

The blonde rolled her eyes. But she couldn't deny that what Krillin said was true.

It didn't take long before they reached the top of the slope. The gang looked around and down the slope.

The snow was starting to fall pretty heavily compared to when they were at the bottom of the slope. Krillin's teeth began to chatter uncontrollably as he rubbed his hands together.

" Hey, is it me or did it suddenly get colder?" His breath showed as he spoke.

" Yeah, now that you mention it it does seem to be a lot cooler."

Luke had an arm around Victoria since he noticed her shivering a bit.

" Come on." Vegeta urged with an annoyed tone.
