Chapter 14

I nod my head at Luke and put all my stuff in the room she showed me to. "I've got it Liz. You can go talk to Luke" I say. She nods and walks out of my room. The first thing I do is hang up my mom's flag up on the wall. If you're wondering, it was in a frame. I start unpacking my clothes and putting them into the closet. I finish and put my suitcase under the bed. I plug my phone into the charger and lay down on the bed with my hands covering my eyes. I let out a breath and move my hands from my eyes. Instead I put a pillow over my face and I hear someone walk in. "Liz, can I just have some time alone?" I ask. The door closes and I sigh un relief. I feel the bed dip and gasp, moving the pillow and sitting up. I look next to me to see Luke laying down next to me. "Sorry about your mom" He says, staring at the wall. "No you're not. Stop lying to me" I groan and hide my head under the pillow again. He moves it off my face and sets it down next to him. "What happened with you and Calum?" He asks. "He lied to me" I mumble. "About what?" He asks again, curiously. I tell him the whole story but leave Dylan out. Speaking of him, i better call him and let him know. "I gotta call someone really quick." I say grabbing my phone and walking downstairs. "Liz I will be back later!" I shout and she shouts back okay. I walk out and dial Dylan's number. "Hello?" He answers. "Hey, um, can we meet up at the park?" I ask. I hear shuffling in the background and him groaning. "Dylan?" I ask. "Sorry, i fell down" He mumbles. I giggle and he says he will see me in 10 minutes. I sit on the bench and wait for him to get here. "Sky!" I hear him shout. I walk towards his running self and he hugs me tightly. "What happened?" He asks. "I moved out of my old house." I whisper. "Again, what happened sky?" He asks. I tell him about my mother and more tears run down my face. He hugs me tightly once I'm done telling him what happened and kisses my forehead, swaying us back and forth. "Im so sorry Sky" He says and I shake my head no. "Nobody is really sorry Dylan. They just say it out of sympathy" I mumble. He just kisses my forehead again and lets me go 5 minutes later. "Wanna go get ice cream?" He asks smiling. I giggle and nod my head. He gives me a piggy back to the ice cream shop and once we get in, he sets me down. "What do you want babe?" He asks looking down to me. I tell the woman at the register and she nods, giving me a warm smile. Dylan does the same and we get our ice cream, sitting in a booth. "I love you." Dylan says smiling. "I love you to" I giggle and once we finish our ice cream, walk back to the Hemmings house. We say our good byes and he kisses my lips, smiling. I kiss him back and walk inside. I wave goodbye and close the door. "Sky, who is that?" I hear Liz ask. "Thats Dylan. My boyfriend" I say smiling at her. She nods and goes to sit in the living room. I walk back up to my room and sit on the bed, playing on my phone. "Boyfriend?" I hear Luke ask. I nod my head and he tsks. "Calum isn't going to like that" He says. "And since when did Calum become the boss of me?" I ask harshly and push him out of my room, closing the door in his face. I slide down it and sigh, covering my face with my hands.
