What Happens After Dark*ON HOLD*

Chapter 6: Finally

We go downstairs and grab a few bottles of water each. Then we go across the street to Niall's house and his mom takes us to the practice.

When we get there we stretch then go for a few laps around the campus. When we're done we change into our shin guards and stuff then we stretch again.

When everyone is done with that the coaches announce that we'll be doing a scrimmage. Girls varsity team agains the guys varsity team. I'm on the girls varsity team and Niall's on the guys varsity team. We actually do this a lot and it usually ends up in a tie. I was keeper and so was Niall so we didn't get to go up against each other directly. But, this game was different... For some reason Niall's and mine punts were going further than ever! My first punt I kicked it right to Niall. He caught it the he did the same right back to me. The coaches looked impressed considering that these were 100 yard fields. When I got it back from Niall though, I threw out to one of my players because we were getting no where like this. The final score ends up being 0-0 another tie. Of course we always make each other better at soccer.

"Okay Niall, Alyssa go take a few laps around the campus then go up the bleachers," the coach said looking at us.

"Okay," we said in unison.

We changed back into our running shoes as did everyone else, but we were the only ones that went running right away.

Niall and I started running and I asked him, "So, why do you think no one else has to run?"

"I don't know," he said completely clueless. "Maybe they have to do something and we took a little longer break than everyone else so we're being punished."

We started laughing then I said, "Okay, suuuurrrrreeeee," I laughed again.

It took us about a hall and then when we got back to the field we ran up the bleachers. When we got to the top we stopped and Niall grabbed my hand.

"Look down," he said smiling.

I gasped when I looked down at the field. All the players on both of out teams including the coaches spelled out " Will you go out with me?" and it was underlined in soccer balls.

"Alyssa," he said looking into my eyes, "will you go out with me?" he asked with the biggest smile on his face.

I started to tear up because I was so surprised and happy. This was the best thing anyone could ever do for me! "Of course!" I exclaimed while jumping on him, hugging him, and kissing him all at the same time.

He hugged me and kissed me back. Everyone down below cheered then they all arranged the soccer balls into a heart and went for their run. I walked down onto the field and we stood in the heart together and kissed again. Then Niall called his mom and told her to come pick us up. She was there in about 10 minutes and she took us home. On the ride we sat in the back together. He sat by the window and I sat in the middle seat and we held hand the whole time home while I was resting my head on him and kissing every now and then. When we got home we went right back over to my house.
