Vladimir's POV

It's been over two months since I last saw Luna and I can't seem to get her out of my mind. I can't help, but feel betrayed though. I cared for her for a week and slept with her. I can still smell her scent on my bed sheets and for some odd reason it made my heart ache. All of a sudden my door swung open to reveal my mother. Such a beautiful creature she was. She was tall and slender, had the lightest blue eyes anyone has seen, and short white hair. Too bad i don't look anything like her. Not saying my dad was ugly he was just as handsome.

"Vladimir dear. You haven't left your room in almost 3 months. I worry for you son" The way she pouted would make anyone feel guilty so i averted my eyes.

"When you and dad met how did you know you would be together"

"Actually it was very unexpected. I was the good kid and he was the trouble maker, but when we had that one passionate night I knew i was in love." My parents both looked like they were in their late 20s which was one of the perks of being a vampire.

I then had the urge to leave my room for the first time in months. I made my way to the study, but my reason for going there was the hidden room in it. I stepped up to a large picture of my great great grandmother and grandfather. I typed in a code and the picture moved aside to reveal what we called "The Generations Room" It held vials of blood of my ancestors that floated in mid air and was connected by a white transparent light. I then looked to my parents and my siblings as well as mine. My older brother and sisters had lovers, but me? Well I have no one.

"There you are" I turned around and was face to face with my father. He had long black hair in a ponytail, blood red eyes, and was very tall. My mother seemed so short when she was beside him.

"What is it?"

"The Eclaire family of Winsburrow are coming over for dinner and it's your job to entertain their daughter"

"Aww come on! She's so annoying!"

"Be nice Vladimir." My mother spoke up and glared at me. "We are the royal family to Vampires and as a Prince you must act like one" I didn't dare defy her so I just nodded and agreed. At least it's only dinner.

After dinner I went on my nightly hunt. It was a full moon tonight and it reminded me of Luna. Thinking of her dull grey eyes made me want her all the more. To get her off my mind I set my eyes on a deer and swiftly drained the blood from it. I had starved myself from the sweet taste of it ever since she left.

"Luna... Where are you..." After my lovely snack I tossed the deer to a pack of wolves. I smiled as the adult wolves fed the little ones. Family truly is a powerful thing and for some reason It gave me the chills when i thought about it. Damn why the hell am i so miserable because of her! I hardly knew the woman! Still though... There was something about her that just made her so unique. After awhile i went back home only to be greeted by the most annoying people ever. The twins Celosia and Nerina.

Celosia had fiery long, wavy red hair and golden eyes that popped out at you. Her personality was being confident, flirty, loud, as well as being very sociable. At some times though she can be very devious. She was the older twin.

Nerina had short, curly blue hair and our mother's blue eyes. She was a bit different from Celosia though. Her personality also included confidence, but she was more calm and mature about things. She too was sociable, but only with people who she believes will benefit her. Hardly to believe they were 15 since they acted like 20 year olds.

"Where were you! Huh!" Shouted Celosia. "I bet you were meeting some girl"

"I doubt it, but i wouldn't be surprised if it was a man." Said Nerina and she looked through her magazine.

"Why don't you two shut the hell up. Better yet go fuck yourselves"

"Vladimir!" I looked up to see my older brother Draco. He was 19 and had black hair like me and dark blue eyes. He was mature like Nerina, cunning, a fighter who put up with no one's bull shit, and was such a book worm. He worked as a high school teacher. "You are 17 years old and talking to 15 year olds like that especially your younger sisters"

"You know what you shut the hell up too!"

"How dare you talk to me like that!"

"Whats your fucking problem!!" Celosia stepped up to me and I swear if she doesn't step away from my face. I'm gonna sock her.

"You are! All of you!"

"SILENCE!!" Everyone immediately shut up and stared at my father. "What the hell is going on her. Your siblings for christ sakes!! Not enemies!! Nerina speak!"

"Your son over here overreacted when Celosia pestered him with questions and i basically called him gay. That's when Draco stepped in and yea" She said it so calmly like it was nothing. Our father sighed and rubbed his head.

"Everyone please return to your rooms and if i hear any talking you will regret it." He said as he stared at all of us sternly. We had no choice, but to obey. I slammed my door shut once I was in my room. Those twins are ridiculous and that damn Draco acting like he knows it all. I flopped onto my bed and stared out the window. The summer breeze was making its way through the branches of the trees and I immediately felt that aching in my heart again. I curled up into a ball and i gripped the sheets tightly. She's nothing more than a mere memory now... I guess i had fallen asleep because i was awoken by my mother.

"Son. I would like to speak with you. You've been acting so strange and that sudden outburst earlier was unexpected" i sighed as i say up in bed and faced her.

"It's just my heart has been aching so much and it's killing me"

"Maybe it's because you deprived your body of blood for so long." Ha! I knew it wasn't love just a mere pain for not drinking blood. "Now listen tomorrow we have a meeting in town with some human your dad works with. Try and behave"

"Got it." Just because we're royalty doesn't mean we don't work. It's the modern times not MEDIEVAL times. Sun light does not burn us its just a myth created by humans as well as the whole garlic ordeal. Hoe pathetic.

Once my mother left, I decided to paint a bit. Painting always seemed to soothe me and it helped a lot. It wasn't anything special just a few brush strokes here and there. I stayed up painting until dawn and slowly drifted to sleep as i savored the little time i had left before we had to leave. I dreamt of Luna again this time she held a bundle, but of what?...
