Chap.19: Sweet 16

Luna's POV

Today was July 17th which meant it was the twins 16th birthday. A big party was going to be planned and we all had to wake up extra early to prepare for it. Draco and Vladimir were setting up at the venue, we rented a big garden filled with lots of unique plants and such. Myra and I were decorating, Serene was making sure everything was paid and ordered for tonight and Ray was ensuring the best security since people tend to wanna crash parties. The twins decided to go shopping and have taken their nephew with them. I couldn't help but worry.

"Hey don't worry. I'm sure Damian is fine." Assured Myra.

"It's not Damian I'm worried about. That little kid although being 4 months, he's already mischievous."

"Oh." I knew she was confused, but nothing more could be said. The party's theme was to be a sort of Alice in Wonderland. Myra and I were placing together party favors. We decided to put in a pocket watch, playing cards, and little treats that resembled when Alice grew tall or smaller.

"These were a great idea Luna. Everyone's sure to enjoy them."

"I know. When the boys finish up with the tables and chairs, we have to make sure to decorate them as if we were at the mad hatter's tea party."

"How delightful. The girls sure came up with a good theme."

"Actually I came up with it. The girls were debating about whether it should be fire/ice or heaven/hell. Anyways, I had just finished watching the one with Johnny Depp with Damian and Couldn't help but over hear. So I said jokingly 'Oh boy, the Red Queen and White Queen are at it again' and just like that the theme was agreed upon."

"How funny." She laughed.

"I didn't think they would take me seriously."

"It's a good thing they did, otherwise I don't think there would've even been a party." Just as we had finished laughing the boys came over.

"Ok girls the tables are all set up." Said Draco. He kissed Myra on the cheek first and then instructed us to place 8 tea cups and such on each table.

"I don't understand why we have to do the hard work. Can't we just hire people to do it?" Vladimir complained.

"We may be royalty son, but we are not lazy. So stop complaining and get back to work." His mother eyed him as he rolled his eyes. I couldn't help, but laugh at those two. "Now chop chop. We didn't wake up early just to slack off. There's still so much to do."

"Alright mother. We get it." Vladimir and Draco left us as soon as he said that. I believe they were working on the stage setup now. After the tables were all set up we had to set up the streamers as well as blow up the balloons.

"Draco! Where's the helium tanks!?" I shouted.

"Ask my dad. He should be bringing them in." I went over to Ray and sure enough he had brought in two tanks.

"You guys are doing the balloons already?" he said.

"We're fast workers."

"I can see." He set them beside us and right away the balloons were up. We did an arch of balloons with the colors white, black, red, and light blue. By 2 p.m. we were finally finished. The party didn't start til 4 which gave us 2 hours to get ready ourselves. I wore a corset top that was the color of Tim Burton's version of the Cheshire Cat. It also came with a poofy skirt. I also wore black heels and to top off my look, I curled my hair and topped it with a bow to match.

"How do I look?" I turned around just to see Vladimir smirk.

"You look hot." I replied. He wore the costume of the Mad Hatter(Tim Burton's version of course.) without the crazy orange hair. When Damian got dropped off I changed him into the little white rabbit outfit his aunties bought for him; the blue really went well with his eyes. When we stepped into the living room, Draco and Myra had dressed like the playing cards. Ray was dressed like the jabberwocky and and Serene was Alice. However, the twins were no where in sight.
