Where the quakes hit
Disaster struck every soul
Hurting many
Have faith my friend
Though it may seem stupid to say
Amidst the great tragedy
It's really all we need to believe
It's beyond our power now
Where the only thing we can do is cry
We can wonder and hope
That our loved ones will be alright
But ache with the knowledge
That some may not make it out alive
Even with that pained hope
We still believe
You're the greater power in this world
You work everything for good
Though loved ones may die
Help us to keep the faith through the disaster
Because you once spread rays of truth as you said
That you'd work everything out
So now even as you watch the news
Keep one thing in your troubled mind
Don't assume the worst
Hold up your light of hope for the world
So everyone will see
Even though the world is torn
Chaos and destruction
There's still a greater force
Working to keep everyone we know and love
Safe and secure
Though it seems
Like the world is dying
Splitting between our feet, cracks in dry earth
Like how it all started
With a rumble and an earthquake first

PoetryPretty much a window to my soul over the past few years. Some poems that were written earlier are of not as good quality, so forgive that. This is a collection that breaks the window to my life.
