You stepped inside the florist's shop, and looked around. Your heart sank a bit when you didn't see Abel; you wanted to thank him for walking you home last night.

Your aunt walked to the cashier's desk, and told him her order, and he went into the back room to get it. He returned, and Aunt Janice began filling out the paperwork.

"Y/N?"

You turned around to see Abel, looking at you calmly.

"Oh!" You said. "Hi!"

"So it is you. It's good to see you again, but why are you here?" He asked bluntly.

"I'm picking up something with my aunt." You said.

"Why don't you live with your parents?" He asked.

"Ordinarily I do, just not in New York."

"So you don't live here? That explains how easily you get lost."

"Hey!" You said. He chuckled a bit under his breath.

"Sorry, sorry. So, if you're not native, what brings you to the great city of New Amsterdam?"

"I thought it was New York?"

"It was New Amsterdam first."

"But it's not anymore."

"That doesn't matter. Answer the question."

You giggled a bit.

"Officially, it's looking at colleges."

"Oh? Well,I'm a college student, think of this as a chance to pick my brain. What are you interested in?"

"I like photography, I guess."

"Never mind. I'm a finances student."

"God," You teased. "I'd have never pegged you for a finances student."

"Oh really? Why not?"

"I've never met a finances student whose part-time job involves plants. Actually, that's not true. They just don't usually sell the floral kind of plant."

"Fair enough." Abel said. "I'l take that as a compliment, then."

Aunt Janice was finishing up, you would have to go in a second.

"Hey Abel!" The cashier said loudly, Abel turned to look at him. "I heard that there was some photography exhibit at that gallery a few blocks away."

"Matthias, were you listening to our conversation?" Abel asked, glaring at the cashier.

"That's water under the bridge, my friend. The exhibit's open right now, too."

"Matthias, I'm going to kill you." Abel said.

"But today's the last day it's open! What a dang shame!"

"I get the point, you can stop talking now." Abel sighed, and turned to face you again. "So, I've heard that there's this photography exhibit near here, but today's the last day it's here. Would you like to go with me to see it?" He asked.

"Sure," You said. "Just to be clear though, is this a date?"

"Maybe." The cashier threw a balled-up receipt at the back of Abel's head. "Yes."

"Sounds great, when should we go?" You asked.

"Would now be good? He can cover for me." He said, pointing at the cashier.

"I just have to ask my aunt, but if she agrees, it should be fine."
