PROLOGUE
Michael glanced at the clock for the umpteenth time, with his diary in front of him. His ball pen was on his right hand, itching to write the overwhelming feelings he had for her. It was crazy and so nerve-wracking that he can't think properly. To calm himself down, he placed the diary on his desk and began writing what he always wanted her to say.
Kristine... from the first time I saw you... I thought I would never need you...
however... as the days go by... the two of us together... you've grown on me... I realized... I am starting to fall in love with you...
however... you're not mine to begin with...
this is not the purpose of our marriage. We have the heir contract... for you to produce heirs for me...
though sometimes... I could feel that our relationship's progressing, or I almost thought that there's no progress to begin with. I tried avoiding you, but can't...
deep inside me...
I just want to be with you...
because I love you...
I just hope that... there will be the time I can say... "you're mine".
Oh, my love... I would be the luckiest man alive.
...if money can just buy love... which would be impossible.
I'm yours... forever.
Michael
While writing, he remembered her smiles, and pleasant personality. She was his everything, but he prioritized her happiness over his own. For now, he just had to wait for her arrival and drink his coffee to stay awake.
