"So, Lucas," Riley began, laying on her side as she faced her lover, twirling her dark hair between her thin fingers, "what do you want to watch?"

As many couples do, Riley and Lucas were having a movie night, which - as many know - almost never ends with just a movie. Her parents were out of town, Auggie was sleeping over at Dewy's, and Riley was ready to get frisky with her boyfriend. The brunette pushed Lucas down, laying on top of him as she traced the lines of his chest through his shirt.

"Or," she whispered, her lips brushing the edge of his eye, sliding her hands under his clothing as she touched his bare chest, "would you rather not watch anything at all?" Riley closed her eyes, beginning to tug his shirt upwards as she kissed gently down his neck.

Lucas shivered, chills running down his spine. "Riley-" he started, then was interrupted by her rough kiss being planted on his mouth.

"No." She said, pulling away and sitting on top of his midriff as she placed her forefinger on his chapped lips. "None of that. Just sex."

The dirty blonde bit his lip as he continued, "I really think-" he allowed her to remove his shirt, "-that we need to-"

"What?" asked Riley, frowning as she threw the blue polo to the side. It landed on her bunny nightlight, it's pale glow emitting through the thin fabric.

"Talk." Lucas finished, grabbing Riley by the arms and removing her from his lap. He nervously furrowed his thick eyebrows and stood up, destroying the narrow crack that denied the bedroom door of being closed. Turning back to his girlfriend, he ran a hand through his hair.
"I think we should talk."

"About what?" Riley repositioned herself, crossing her legs over one another in a pretzel-like fashion as she tilted her head, looking somewhat like a confused puppy.

"About..." Lucas's speech faltered. He never had been good with words. "Us."

"Are you...?" Riley's facial expression shifted from confused to the face many make just before boiling over the top. "Are you breaking up with me?"

Lucas bit his lip, nervously itching the back of his neck. "Yeah," he said timidly, his hazel-colored eyes showing nothing but fear. "Yeah, I think I am."

"Oh." Riley looked down at her light blue football jersey and pink pajama pants, hitching her breath as a barely-noticeable drop of water crept from the corner of her eye and down her left cheek. "I see."

Lucas slowly stepped forward, reaching out towards her. "Are you okay?" He asked in a small voice, never having felt so guilty in his entire life.

Riley looked up at him, her eyes showing no mercy whatsoever. "Okay?" She asked, standing up so she was level with his face. "Do I look like I'm okay?" She began to walk towards her desk, turning her back to her now ex-boyfriend. "You gave me the best three years of my life, and now you're throwing all of it away?!"

"Riley?" Lucas said tinily, feeling smaller than he ever has before.

The brunette swung around, pointing an accusing finger straight at Lucas. "Don't." She breathed out, taking a step away from him. "Don't you dare Riley me. I want you to take your stupid shirt," she leaned over and aggressively took hold of the article of clothing she'd thrown aside, before chucking it directly into Lucas's arms, "and your stupid shoes," she grabbed a basket from below her desk and angrily threw it at the blonde as well, "and I want you to get out of my house."
