Chapter 20: Saki's Encounter

Saki POV

After we had that argument, Hikari kissed another girl. She's has a good figure, has a better background than me, and she has long blonde hair. Isn't she a foreigner?! Her name is even foreigner-ish; Charlotte. I even heard rumors that they became a couple overnight. I won't believe that! But... I'm becoming doubtful of Hikari now. I also heard other rumors that Hikari is Charlotte's maid. Or they have been secretly seeing each other after school.

I discussed my worries with Kaori who is Hikari's childhood friend. She cares for Hikari a lot like me, maybe more if you counted the times they have been together. Kaori was denying all of the rumors I mention.

"Saki are you really sure you're her lover? Even I know that Hikari has a reason she can't tell us." said Kaori. "Alright~ Alright Kaori~" I complained. "Especially you..." whisper Kaori. "Hm?" "Nothing." After school, I planned to make up with Hikari and walk home together, but I saw her with Charlotte again. I confronted them in front of the school. "You know her, commoner?" ask Charlotte. "Busty girl, I think it's about time I get my Hikari back." said Saki. "B-Busty girl?! Me?!" say Charlotte. She made a weird expression.

"What are you doing, Saki?" ask Hikari. "I want you back with me, Hikari. I'm sorry if I look like a hypocrite to you. It's just that I really love you." I said. "How could you say it so easily to me? I kissed another girl and I feel bad about it." thought Hikari.

"Saki...?" Charlotte spoke the name quietly. She looked slightly bewilder about something and then recompose herself. "... Hikari is mines. I won't let you have her." Charlotte declared. "Whaa?!!"

"Charlotte, I... have someone..." said Hikari. "What are you talking about? I haven't dismiss you from that accident." said Charlotte.

Hikari became dumfounded and embarrassed that she spoke up. Charlotte grab Hikari's arm and pulled Hikari closer to her. "Hikari's mines!" I grab Hikari's free arm and pull her near me.

Somehow we ended up fighting for her. "That is enough. Why are you two fighting over another student? This is ridiculous." Someone said in a authoritative tone.

She slowly walk towards us, "I heard about some girls fighting over someone earlier... I can't believe it's you, Charlotte." She sound disappointed but she didn't showed it. Charlotte quickly let go of Hikari and looked a bit guilty, "You're the student council president, Akemi." Akemi quickly glare at me then spoke, "Let go of her Saki," Hikari looked at the student council president, "Come over here," ordered president Akemi.

She was very intimidating. Hikari quickly went to president Akemi's side, "I'll let this go once. If I see you two fighting over someone again, you two will be punish."

Hikari saw me flinch. Charlotte couldn't believe what the president said.

The president turns back to the school. "Follow me." Her serious tone and intimidating appearance made Hikari follow her.

"Damn that stupid president. She's just lucky she got more financial backup than me. Can't believe she took away my new play-toy." said Charlotte to herself.

I glare at her, "Hikari's not an object! ...... You still have that bad habit..." Charlotte glare back, "So you do still remember me, Saki. I finally came to school after a long time and you completely changed- well, not that I care. I haven't seen you in what? Years. I don't even remember how you look like at all. Be greatful I still remember your name since you don't go to those parties anymore."

"I also completely forgotten about you until now. You always make people below you, your little play-toys."

Charlotte brush off her hair on her shoulder, "A 'mistake' like you should continue to stay low in the business industry and be overjoy to have a half sister protecting you."

Those words struck me like shooting bullets. After she said that, she casually left me by myself.

Alone, I look down at the ground, consumed by inferiority.
