*Little Wolf: Chapter 3: Who knew vampires had Facebooks!*
I was still sitting on the bed, Teddy standing in front of him. Horror showed in his face. “Where is he?” I looked up at Teddy and my face said it all. His father had taken him.
I closed my eyes, rubbing my face. I wasn’t going to just sit here and mope around. I didn’t blame my parents for doing so when I was gone, but it was different; they were humans, I wasn’t.
I stood up. “I have to go find him. I’m not waiting a moment, either,” I muttered. I walked downstairs. I was upset that my mom hadn’t kept Sebastian close to her side. I’d told her, but she hadn’t listened. Felix wouldn’t have come in if Sebastian was close to her.
“I told you to keep him safe!” I screamed at my mom. “You didn’t, and now he’s gone!” She was on the phone. I yanked it out of her hands. “She’ll have to call you back,” then I hung up.
“Whisper Neil, what in the world has gotten into you!?” Mom stood up, glaring at me.
“Sebastian’s gone! Felix took him and it’s your entire fault!” Tears began to fall from my eyes. I could feel my eyes changing – I was mad, I was about to transform. I shook my head and took deep breaths. I’d been learning how to control my tempter. It had gotten worse since my pregnancy.
“I – I…Whisper, what are you talking about?”
I didn’t answer her. I took the phone upstairs to my computer. I clicked on facebook and logged into my account. Then, I searched the name Hunter. Most people were on facebook, and I hoped that she was too. Maybe she’d found her family just like I had. I shuddered, just thinking about seeing her again. Sure enough…I’d found her.
Hunter looked about the same. Her black hair covered part of her face, though her face was pale. Her once red eyes were now the same brown that they had been, seeing as she’d probably put contacts in.
I clicked on ‘info’ and looked through it. I smiled. Her number was on the page. I picked up the phone and dialed it, pressing it to my ear. I waited for an answer. My heart was pounding. I didn’t know if it was excitement or horror.
“This is Hunter,” a voice said.
I took in a breath. “Hunter? I hope you remember me. This is Whisper Neil,” I said. Why wouldn’t she remember me?
A scream came. “Whisper? Oh my God, Whisper! I haven’t seen you in so long. How are you?” I wiped the tears that started to stream. I was talking to my best friend.
“There’s a reason I’m calling,” I said softly. “I’m okay, but my son isn’t.”
“Wait…you have a son? With who, Caleb?”
I winced at the sound of the name. “Felix.”
Hunter was silent. Obviously she didn’t know what to say. “He took him, Hunter and I need your help to get Sebastian back.”
The woman took a deep breath. “I’m on my way, Whisp.”
I let out the breath I was holding. “Same place, I’ll see you soon. Please come as soon as possible.”
Hunter laughed. “You forget I’m a vampire.”
After I hung up, I knew who I had to call next. I closed my eyes, afraid. But, I’d do anything to get Sebastian back. He was worth being afraid. I pulled up his facebook page as well, surprised that he had one. When I saw his face, I knew it was him instantly. His dark hair was lined across his forehead, a cheeky grin on his face. I felt shivers go down my spine.
I dialed the number that I found and waited. He was probably married with kids or something. I mean, five years…so much could happen in that long. Maybe he was married. I looked at his wall, but it still said single.
“Hello? Hello? Anyone there?” I jumped. I hadn’t noticed that he’d picked up.
“Caleb?” I asked, feeling my heart beat in my chest.
“This is he, who is this?” He muttered.
I hesitated. The last time I’d seen him I’d told him to never come back. “Whisper,” I finally answered.
There was a long pause before he spoke again. “D-do you need something?” It came out less than a whisper.
“This may sound weird, but I need your help.” So I told him what had happened, starting with Sebastian’s birth.
Shocked, Caleb let out a sigh. “I’ll be there, we’ll find him Whisper, we’ll find him.” That made me happy. Though we had problems with one another, he set them aside as I had. We had to work together. The only person left was Madison. I called her as well and she’d said the same thing, which made me happy. I never knew that vampires had facebooks, let alone werewolves. I guess you learn something new every day!
