Chapter 4

I just stared at the poor sleeping boy in my arms. I let out a growl, shaking with frustration.

"I'm taking him into my custody." No body spoke, but stared at me, trying to decipher what was wrong about me.

"I have legal jurisdiction and full rights to do so, as I have done before. If any of you protest..." I stopped, and snapped my head up to glare at each and every one standing in the doorway. They jumped back, in fear.

"I will personally take it up with a judge. Just so I can prove how right I am. And if you still have a problem, I will then personally make your life a living hell, till you slowly and painfully go insane, and you end up in one of these as well." I fumed.

"Got it?" They all nodded in trepidation.

"Good. Now Jaeger's nurses, prepare all his medicine. Get all the belongings he possesses, and pack it. Also, file every paperwork, and give it to me. If we want him to get better, we have to treat him like he's normal. Something you shits were too stupid to think about. But let me tell you, now I am in charge. And things are going to change." I then turn back my attention to the brat, and sigh. I pick him up bridal style and pick up his blanket, to wrap around him.

"Levi, you haven't actually brought patients home since Isabel and Farlan."

"I know." She then grinned evilly.

"And they were like siblings to you. Farlan was a little more though~" I blushed slightly and cleared my throat.

"Hanji, you don't know what you're talking about."

"So Eren's got to have a serious place in that tiny little blackness you call a heart, already!" She cheered. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

"Okay, for one, this is strictly professional. Trust me. This boy, needs serious help. Just like, yes, Farlan and Isabel. I didn't have feelings towards him. They were the other way. But I do admit, I felt obligated to be a brother. And I helped them. Just as I'll do to Jaeger." Hanji smiled.

"The grinch has a heart after all."

"Just don't go saying that I like my patients." She nodded.

"I know you didn't have feelings for Farlan. I'm just joking~. However, what made you do this for Eren?" I looked down to the boy and shook my head.

"I don't know."

"I think I do. But we'll save that for another time." I gave her a look, and shrugged it off.

Surely I didn't like him. Did I? I mean...I'm his doctor. And he's fucking crazy. Not to mention he just tried to kill me. But then again, he was hallucinating. Something triggered his memories and made me his worst nightmare. So it wasn't his fault. Well, being crazy isn't his fault either.

God what am I even saying?! We barely even met, and love at first sight is bullshit. Not that I considered this love. Because I didn't. Like, at all.

"You know, I had a crush on a patient too, one time? And we almost started dating! So it isn't wrong. Shit happens." I furrowed my brows.

"Hanji, you've had a crush on eyebrows as long as we've known each other, which is practically forever. Don't even give me that shit."
