Chapter 6 - Academics

Sunset's pov

Last night, we slept in a nearby hotel. (WOW! 😆) The place is a bit old, but it was cozy enough for us. I share a room with fluttershy and twilight, while rarity, pinkie, rainbow, and AJ slept on another room nearby. All of us quickly fell asleep as soon as our head hit the pillow. (Even pinkie!)

The party was so fun, but tiring. I was a little uncomfortable when I walk around the campus with Fireball though. It feels like someone is spying on me. Fireball left shortly and I quickly wrote to Twilight when I bump into this girl named Nikki Maxwell. She's really nice, but she got a little suspicious of my book that's why I just told her that it's just my diary.

Anyways, enough of what happend last night. Let's talk about today! We woke up early in the morning to prepare for the day. Today is the start of the games! So we ate bread, eggs, and ham and drank milk so we will stay energized for the rest of the day. Then we quickly arrived to WCD in a flash.

"Welcome to this year's friendship games! Are you ready students from WCD and CHS?!" The principal of WCD shouted through the megaphone. The students from both schools cheered for their school.

"This is CHS! We are the best!" We yell.

"Nobody can beat our school. Cuz we are so cool!" The students from WCD replied to us.

CHS: "Wondercolts forever. Standing strong together! Friendship is by our side. Strong on every ride!"

WCD: "WCD is unstoppable, cuz we are always lovable! Love for our school is our pride, cuz we are all together side by side!"

After the short cheering for our schools. The first event began. Academics! *gulp!* 😦

Nikki's pov

I was so nervous! I'm suffering from a big RCS attack! I need oxygen, now! *breathe in, breathe out* that feels so much better! 😲

Chloe and Zoey are nervous too! They started panicking. I told them that it's okay if they don't win, they just have to do they're best. That made them so much better. I feel confident and better too! We did a quick group hug just to give each other more encouragement.

I was the contestant for the Science quiz bee. Brain, don't fail me now!

Narrator's pov

The first round is the baking competition. It's Pinkie pie Apple jack vs Chloe and Marcus . Pinkie pie and AJ baked yummy rainbow colored cupcakes (vanilla flavor) while Chloe and Jenny made a delicious a super chocolate cake with extra whip cream.

The second round is grammar. It's Brandon and theo vs Rarity and rainbow dash. Both pairs have to make an essay about the state of the earth. Rarity and rainbow dash thought about their essay for a long time while Brandon and theo made their essay quite fast.

The third round is geometry. It's Twilight sparkle and fluttershy vs Zoey and violet. Both teams were given hard questions but they did it well.

The last round is science. It's Nikki vs sunset shimmer.
There were multiple questions given to them. Both of them were really doing good no one can tell who is falling behind.

When all of the rounds were finished. The judges counted the scores and the winner is.......... <drum roll>

Nikki's pov

I'm so nervous! Who's the winner? Did we win? Come on, show the results already!

Then the results were presented to us on a big screen on the stage.

Baking competition: CHS
Essay contest: WCD
Geometry competition: CHS
Science Contest: CHS

We didn't win. That's okay, there is still 2 more events for our school to catch up.

I'm so proud of Brandon! He won the essay contest with Theo! I approached him and congratulated him. He said that I did good too even if I lost cause he know that I tried my best.

Then, Sunset Shimmer approached me. "Hey Nikki! You did very well at the contest! Congrats!" She said. I smiled at her and congratulated her too. I'm glad that she's really humble and nice unlike Mackenzie. Mackenzie used to be the queen bee of this school. She's really mean to me. I'm so glad that she moved to another school or I wouldn't have enough energy to deal with her and the games.

But I must admit, I miss Mackenzie a bit. 😔

NOT!!!!!!!!! 😈

Whew! I'm exhausted! I must rest and practice for tomorrow.

Because this time, I think we are going to win. No, I KNOW we are going to win! 😎
