Chapter 18 - talent event

Sunset shimmer's pov
(At the music room)

I do not understand why Nikki is angry at us. We didn't post her diary entries all over the school. Why would she think that we would do that to her?

"I can't believe Nikki blamed us for something we didn't do!" Rainbow dash exclaimed. She clenched her fist and took deep breaths to herself calm down.

"I wonder who posted the diary pages?" Fluttershy said while removing a page from the wall.

I look at the diary entry near me, it shows a cute drawing of us when we were at the mall. "I feel sorry for Nikki. People reading your diary must feel awful."

"Yeah, anyways. You guys should practice for today's event. Today's event is talent and you're going to perform as a band, remember?" Twilight reminded us.

Human twilight sparkle is not apart of our band, the rainbooms, because she is sort of like our manager/biggest fan. She always supports us when we have gigs.

"Right! I'll get my tambourine ready." Fluttershy said.

After helping the staff of WCD set up the gym (where the event will be held), we practiced performing together. Yup! We have our instruments with us!

Shake your tail cause we're here to have a party tonight!

"That was a good practice, ya'll!" Applejack happily exclaimed.

We practiced out songs over and over again until it was time to go to the gymnasium.

"Let's get ready to party!" Pinkie pie excitedly shouted.

"Wait darling! We must have something cute to wear. I have just the right clothes for all of you!" Rarity said. And with that she pulled out outfits for us from her huge bag. (The outfits are what they wore from the music video of shake your tail) she handed us the outfits 1 by 1.

Rarity turned to me "And as for you, darling. I have this sparkly outfit just for you." She handed me a beautiful sparkly jacket, and a sparkle yellow dress with matching boots. I thanked rarity and tried it on. oh my! I look fabulous! (Please look at photo that is included at this chapter)

"You actually have these clothes with you rarity." Fluttershy said while putting on her outfit.

Rarity giggled and winked at flutters "Yeah! I always bring with me many outfit options that I know that will suit you, darlings. You never know when you might need them."

After putting on our gorgeous outfits, we headed to the gym. It was already filled with students from WCD and CHS.

"We're a little late but that's ok." Twilight remarked while peering at her watch.

"To the students who are going to perform, please proceed to room 23. It is the nearest classroom from the gym. The show will start in 15 minutes." The principal of WCD announced.

(At room 23)
"Come on sunset! Take a deep breath. We have done this for the second time so don't be nervous." Rainbow dash reminded me.

"Oh yeah? What if I mess up again just like the time when you were performing 'awesome as I wanna be'?" I said nervously.

Pinkie patted my back and gave me a candy "relax! That won't happen! Just stay calm and eat candy."

"Thanks pinkie pie. You're right, I really need candy to calm down."

"That's the spirit!"

We are all seated at plastic chairs while waiting for our turn to perform. It was still trixie's turn and we will have to wait for a while since we were the last to perform.

"Argh! I can't stand trixie's singing!" Rainbow dash said and crossed her arms.

"Oh don't be mean rainbow dash. I think her singing is great!" Fluttershy said. "But I know that ours is better."

"Yeah! Go rainbooms!" Applejack exclaimed.

~TIMESKIP~

"Next up! The rainbooms!" Celestia announced through the mike. We all looked at each other.

"Let's get ready to rock!" Rainbow dash shouted excitedly.

We all took our places on the stage.

"1, 2, 3, 4!"

Before we can even start, someone barges into the gymnasium. Oh-no! This isn't good...........
