Chapter 9 - Game on!

Sunset's pov

We are still figuring out who or even what is using dark magic. After 1 hour of thinking we practiced for today's event: sports. Im not bad at sports but I'm not super good at it either.

"Come on guys! Push it!" Rainbow encouraged us. We are running around the street and I think this place is really nice.

"Can *pant* take a *pant* short break?" Fluttershy said as she take deep breaths between words.

Rainbow dash looked at the others. Everyone but her, applejack, and pinkie are not keeping up.

"Let's rest for a while." AJ announced.

We all sat down on the soft grass.

"I think we should save our energy for later." Rarity said "I'm so tired. Pass the water, darling."

Pinkie pie passed rarity the water. "I hope we do well later!" Pinkie pie said cheerfully.

"Yeah." I agreed. "Good luck to us."

~TIMESKIP TO EVENT~

I looked at the people who are competiting. Nikki and Brandon is at archery. Chloe and Marcus is at roller skating. While Zoey and Theodore are at motor cross.

In our team, Fluttershy and applejack is at archery. Rarity and pinkie at roller skating. While me and rainbow at motor cross.

Both schools wouldn't compete at the same time. There will be a timer and who's team was able to do all of the challenges the fastest wins the event. We will go first.

"Let the games begin in 3.....2.....1... GO!!!"

At the moment. Fluttershy jumped at the obstacles in her way. Then she pointed her arrow at the target. After a few tries at shooting the eye, she was finally able to shoot it right at the target. BULLSEYE!

A hidden target appeared and it started moving fast. Applejack ran to flutters and focused on hitting the moving target. She took a deep breath and let go of the arrow. SCORE! It hit right at the eye. Applejack and Fluttershy cheered.

Rarity and pinkie pie started skating with their cool roller skates. They have to dodge hedges and jump over barriers on the way to the finish line.

"Hurry rarity! You can just reapply your make-up later." Pinkie pie joked as she giggled.

"Oh pinkie dear! Appearance is very important. I don't want to look like a messy rat when the photographers take a pic of us." Rarity replied. "Now let's stop chatting. We have to- OUCH!" Rarity tripped on one of the barriers.

Pinkie pie skated to rarity. She has a big bruise on her knee.

"How can I look good and finish the race now!" Rarity wined.

Pinkie pie put a band aid at rarity's knee and helped her get up. "We have to finish the race no matter what happends. Come on! We can do it!"

They skated again. Rarity skated a little bit slower than before but I can tell that she is trying her best (without ruining her outfit, of course)

They reached the finish line faster than I expected. There was a little 'ding!' And that was the signal for us to start our motors. VROOM!

We speed through the obstacles in our way. I jumped at a ramp. "Whoohoo!" I shouted as I rode faster.

I looked at the students in the bleachers. They were cheering for us. I smiled at them.
