So, um i dont know if anyone that started reading from the very beginning is still reading now because i never updated. But i switched schools. I no longer attend HHMA anymore thank god. I go to Lake Weir now and i think i like it better here. But i fit in well here and i got an amazing boyfriend who is the star of this little story.
So, this JROTC program is set up differently than it was in my old school. The company leadership was picked by the Battalion top three and then all the other positions were picked as well. Well this one guy in particular got to be Foxtrot company commander. Hey wait. Thats my company... so basically all of the leadership in my company was friends with my brother when he still attended school. Turns out they picked me as the platoon leader. The company i was in last year had almost 70 people and had three platoon leaders. So i was surprised that i was chosen. Cause i felt like my old school didn't prepared me at all.
But i ended up doing color guard for a football game. Which was a big deal for me because i am also in the marching band. The color guard was me, my company commander, my platoon sergeant and the company commander for Echo. But my CC had to go to his house to get his uniform because someone was unprepared. He promised me food if i went along so i did. Allot of the time spent during the ride was me thinking "wow he lives really far into the forest" (its not an actual forest. I mean it is but part of it is urbanized which is why i say its not a forest but everone referres to it as the forest so w.e) So i was kinda hoping the dude wasnt about to murder me. The decision to go with him was based purely on the fact that he promised me food which was bad on my part because we never really talked.
But he was getting his uniform together and then leaned in to kiss me, but turned away and said "we should get going"
And thats the story of how my boyfriend and i started dating
