We had been driving for hours and I don't even know where we're going. We can't stop anywhere for too long or else we get attacked by geeks. Eric has been trying to make everything seem better, but it won't get better, there's no hope and I could see it in his eyes that he's lost all hope. 'Are you hungry?' He takes a packet of crips out and hands them to me. 'Thanks.' I take them and open them still looking out the window. 'Eric?' He lets out a long sigh. 'I know it's hard for you but we had no choice. Mom told me to keep you safe and that's what I'm trying to do.' 'But where's dad? 'He was at work when this all happened.'

I let out a deep breath. 'But what exactly happened?' I crinkled the packet and stuffed it in a plastic bag. 'No one knows, dad was at the station after hearing there was some sort of riot that broke out in the city, it was the walkers attacking everyone, he called mom and told her to get us to leave.' Suddenly the car started to slow down and make rumbling noises. 'Fuck sake.' Eric hit the wheel repeatedly until the car came to a complete stop. He unbuckled his seatbelt and jumped out of the car. 'Were going to have to walk from here.' I grabbed my stuff and joined him. 'Where exactly are we going?' We walked up the high way. 'Atlanta, apparently they have some sort of refugee camp.'            As we continued up the highway meeting some walkers on the way we could see Atlanta and a load of cars leaving it,but not moving. 'Why would people be trying to leave if there was help here?' Eric asked. 'Maybe they were scared at first, or something.' As we got nearer and nearer, I could tell something was wrong, but I guess in a Zombie apocalypse it's kind of hard to tell if your wrong or right.

As we arrived at the city, everything was quiet. There weren't even birds in the air. There was nothing. 'Excuse me! Wait please!' Someone called from behind us. 'Stay close.' As we looked behind us there was a man on a horse behind us. 'Please can you help me, I'm looking for one of those refugee camps.' Eric pushed me behind him slightly. 'Maybe we can help each other out, we're a bit lost.' As we walked along the abandoned streets we found out more about this man, how he was a sheriff and his name was Rick Grimes and he was looking for his wife and son.

We passed an abandon bus with walkers. We quickened our paste so we didn't have to deal with them but as we turned the corner we immediately regretted coming into Atlanta.
