Never Forget

Chapter 2

Daniels POV

It had been an entire week since I had seen Athena I couldn't believe Him he was supposed to love us and yet he had separated me from the only girl I had ever loved.

I couldn't forgive Him for this I watched her and tried to get through to her but nothing. She had forgotten me.

She has a whole new life and I wasn't part of it. Yet there's still a part of me that doesn't care about His rules or the fact that I'm an angel, all this part of me cares about Athena and nothing else.

I know that thinking this way is dangerous especially with Him watching but I can't help it, this isn't right it's killing me not being with Athena.

I'd been watching her for a few weeks now, apart from the one time she heard me whisper her name she is completely oblivious to the signs I've been sending her.

The more time she spends down there the more I am starting to feel my sanity slipping away. I've tried to get on with everyday life but nothing works everything I do I'm reminded of her it's gotten so bad that I can't spend one day without watching her on earth.

I was thinking about going to the one Angel who could end my misery. Calvin, he was exiled from ever going back to earth as he wasn't the most reliable and has a thing for breaking the rules.

If I ever wanted to see Athena again I'd have to see him, the only way I could get her back and not be punished was to become a human, just like her. Calvin had the power to take away an Angel wings forcing them to be grounded on earth, barely any people believe in this legend but I am becoming desperate and this is my only chance to be reunited with her.

There was just one slight tiny issue, no one in heaven apart from Him knew where he was. He had to be in Heaven somewhere but as smart as he was, he decided to make it fun and said that "I will only appear to an angel when they're in a desperate need of me"

Without realising it, I had already decided that I was going to go down to earth one way or another. I had also starting pacing back and forth right now, I was in one of the only places that angels could see down to earth, even by being here I was breaking thousands of rules.

I was about to leave as I had been watching Athena for hours when I heard a voice behind me "You really love her don't you" I spun around to see Calvin staring back at me, reading my face like I was thinking of a difficult math problem.

We stayed in silence for up to 3 minutes when I finally gave up and teared away from his deadly stare, he spoke again but this time with more force "I can get you to earth and to Athena" his words made my face turn into a smile but then I stopped and said "What's the catch?" He just laughed and quietly whispered "Can't you just believe I'm helping you because I want you to be happy and be reunited with your one true love" his face had shaped into a crooked smile.

"No everything with you has a catch " I knew that if I wanted this from him if have to be prepared to offer something in return.

Because of this I quickly asked "What do you want from me?"

"Nothing I already have everything but now you ask I do have something that would make this deal more interesting"
"What" I asked getting a little impatient, either he wanted to help me or he didn't. Simple.

"I will send you down to earth but only for 12 weeks" while saying this he smirked, clearly enjoying the fact he was in control even if this plan went badly and we were caught, he was so powerful that He had no choice but to punish Calvin by exile.

"Only 12 weeks " I whispered quietly so quietly that Calvin couldn't hear it.

I simply put all thoughts of that out of my mind and focused on being able to see Athena.
"Fine lets do this"
"Good now when you get down to earth your wings will immediately disappear as you know wings don't belong on earth. I should be able to direct you to a specific place on earth but that's all."
I just nodded.
"Now the way you are sent down is through a portal as soon as you go through it will feel like you're falling but try to stay calm it's over in seconds. Ready?"
"Ready" I realised then that I would do anything to see Athena and I wouldn't be put off by one portal.
In a blink of an eye a door appeared.
"Just walk through and think of where you want to go on earth and you should appear there."
As he said that I walked through and thought of Athena.
Suddenly I was falling and landed with a loud thump on the ground.

When I had finally recovered from the pain and was actually able to move my legs again I stood up with no idea where I was the only thing I saw was Athena hugging another guy.........
