Athena's POV

My brain was starting to hurt from helping Noah organise Ivy's birthday surprise and his plan to ask her out.

You would think I would be overexcited and jumping through the roof but I already knew years ago they had feelings for each other. It was just a matter of time for them to announce to the world and accept the fact themselves. I just didn't know it would take this long!

It didn't help my throbbing brain when he gave me a massive hug.
"You're...cutting...off...my....oxygen.....su....pply!!" I managed to get the words out just in time as he quickly let go.
"Do you realise how strong you are?" I stuttered. "I could have died there" I joke but we both laughed.

It wasn't long before I noticed Ivy walking down the corridor. I quickly calmed myself down, trying not to let her know about Noah's plan. I wasn't the best at keeping secrets and Ivy was very observant.

Behind Ivy I saw a glimpse of a young man from behind the corner of the wall. A weird feeling took over my body but when I took a millisecond to blink, he disappeared.

I had never seen him in school before I don't think. I couldn't come to a conclusion as I only got to see the side of him for 2 seconds. I was really curious. When my eyes fixed on him it felt like electric had just shock my body.

I was about to walk over before I got barricaded by Kyle, he grabbed my arm and forced me to follow him. Kyle wasn't normally like this, his face was tense and his eyebrows nearly met each other. I got really concerned. I wish someone was here to with me.

He pulled me over to a empty corridor and looked around the corner checking if anyone was there listening.

He took in a deep breath then blurted out all his problems to me. I stopped breathing, oh what have I done...

"Noah just told me he's going to ask Ivy out..." His face dropped and I could feel that his heart had broken into a million pieces.

"You...you like Ivy too?" I tried not to sound shocked but it was really hard.

"Yeah I was planning to ask her out on her birthday as well" I couldn't cope with seeing Kyle so upset, he was always the one that never told anyone about his problems and would never let out his emotions. Him being like this made me feel so guilty with helping Noah plan Ivy's surprise.

His chocolate brown eyes looked into mines and I realized I hadn't said anything for longer than 2 minutes. I opened my mouth but closed it again then quickly said to him that I had to go to class. I felt so bad leaving Kyle but I couldn't stand there for any longer with him staring into my guilty face.

I sped to class, I was 5 minutes late but I didn't care. Alec was in my English class and he was just the person I was looking for. I apologized for being late to Miss Campbell as I scanned the class and thanked God that there was a empty seat beside Alec.

I pulled out the plastic seat and sat down. I was desperate to talk to Alec but I didn't think it was a good idea when you could hear every single breath someone took in the room. It had to be reading period didn't it but that doesn't matter I couldn't wait any longer.

I went into my bag and pretended to get my water while I took out my pencil and a piece of paper. Thankfully my book was big enough to hide me writing, I don't think I have ever written this fast before or will I ever have to.

Alec, please help me!! Noah is asking Ivy out on her birthday but Kyle came up to me and told me that he has feelings for Ivy too. What do I do!!

Kyle told u that? He actually told u out loud? Wow he must be feeling happy.

Yes Alec! Yes!! And btw  ur sarcastic comments r NOT helping. I saw in his eyes the dismay, he came to me for help and I just ditched him. PLUS I helped Noah with his plan, yes that's what I said, I HELPED Noah organize his surprise.

Lol you're screwed

Haha very funny Alec
(I gave him a glare)

Sorry, ok give me some time I'll talk to you at lunch.

I wasn't happy at all but I didn't want to be rude so I counted the pages in the book. Counting the pages was the next best thing, the words on the page just rearranged themselves into

You're screwed. You're dead. You're screwed. You're dead"

I think Alec could feel my concern because he gave me a small pat on the back. Somehow it helped a bit.

I looked up to the clock, 3 minutes to the bell.

The second the bell rang, I stuffed the book into my bag. I gestured to Alec to hurry up, we couldn't talk at the lunch table because Kyle would be there.

I stormed out of the classroom while not looking where I was going. I smashed into something that felt like a rock hard wall. I fell backwards and when I was about to hit the ground, a strong arm wrapped around my body and hauled me back up. I looked into the warming eyes of the guy at the corner this morning...
