I suppressed my anxiety the best I could as Dipper and I roamed the woods. It was difficult, but with Dipper around, I felt safe. We sauntered around for an hour or so. We weren't really worried about going back to the Shack. We just took our time getting to know each other and enjoyed each other's presence. I'm not really sure what it is I feel when I'm around Dipper. There's just an undeniable connection between us. When he laughs I always get flustered. He makes me feel accepted somehow. We aren't that much different really. We both like to read and we're both, well... nerds. Yeah. Dipper and I are nerds. Maybe that's why we just click.

Anyway, Dipper and I were exchanging stories; He told me about the crazy summers he would spend in Gravity Falls. He told me about when he and Wendy drove the golf cart off the Shack roof. I was beginning to like this Wendy gal, platonically, of course. She seemed like a pretty awesome friend. Earlier I was a little jealous of her, although I'm not really sure why. I thought Dipper was dating her at first, perhaps that's why I was jealous of her. But, that didn't seem logical seeming how I was straight. I'm heterosexual, right? Dipper has quite the effect on me. Now he's gotten me to question my sexuality a little. This boy is something special.

Eventually, Dipper and I started to walk back to the Shack. "Do you play any instruments, Dipper?" I asked trying to strike up a conversation.

"Yup, I um, I play the sousaphone," He said while looking slightly embarrassed.

"That's impressive," I said, trying to reassure him of his talent. "You're the only person I know that plays sousaphone. That's pretty cool."

Dipper looked up at me and smiled, "You really think so?" I nodded in response and I thought I saw his face redden a little. I guess not many people complimented him.

He cleared his throat and asked, "What about you? Do you play any instruments?"

"I play the clarinet," I responded, hoping that my cheeks didn't look as red as they felt. I looked down at the ground, avoiding Dipper's gaze. He didn't respond for a while so I looked back up at him. He was staring at me; I couldn't discern or understand his goofy half smile.

"W-what?" I asked nervously, afraid he would make fun of me.

"How do you even play clarinet? Those things must have a thousand buttons! I always thought that whoever played clarinet was a genius." Dipper said excitedly. I quickly blushed and I decided to mimic Dipper's cocky attitude from earlier.

"You bet your ass I am," I said and laughed. Dipper laughed along with me and soon enough we were out of breath.

"Really, though, it's awesome that you play the clarinet."

"Thanks. But, to be honest with you, it just adds to my dorkiness." I retorted.

"How so?" Dipper questioned.

"I think that's for you to figure out some other time," I said as the Shack came into sight. Dipper sighed in defeat, "Alright. I guess that means we'll be seeing each other again?"

"I would hope so," I said.

"Here, why don't I give you my phone number so we can make plans?" Dipper said cheerfully.

Mentally, I was freaking out. But, I tried my best not to let my excitement show. "That's a great idea." I pulled my phone out and gave it to him. He typed in his phone number and other information for his contact. Shortly after, he handed me my phone back and I glanced at the contact.

"Pine Tree?" I asked, reading the name of the contact. What was that supposed to mean?

He blushed and answered, "Oh um, yeah, it's just a nickname a friend of mine gave me. Well, he's not really a friend, but- the name just stuck I guess." I nodded in response.

"Well okay then, I'll text you later tonight if that's ok?" I asked.

Dipper raised his eyebrow at me in question. "Someone's a little eager, huh?"

I shoved him playfully. "Shut up." I loved this air of comfort I had when I was around Dipper. I seemed like a different person. Dipper and I entered the Shack and I went off to find my brother.

"I'll be right back Dipper, I'm just going to go look for Greg," I said to him. He nodded and walked over to the cashier girl, Wendy. I grew a little suspicious despite Dipper telling me that they weren't dating. The way he looked at her... Why would I care? Dipper and I are friends. At least, I hope we're friends. Walking around the woods with him allowed me to get to know him well.

I heard the familiar voice of Greg coming from upstairs, and followed it to the bottom of a dipalidated staircase. My anxiety screamed at me as I climbed the creaky steps up to their attic. At the tøp of their staircase, spider webs lurked in almost every corner. I think I would have found the atmosphere creepy if it weren't for the thoughts of Dipper sticking in my mind. I thought of Dipper's awkward smile which was rather adorable. His deep brown eyes that seemed to bore into my soul every time I got lost in them. I quickly shook myself from the lovesick thoughts and I opened the attic door.

I saw Greg standing on the other side, grinning from ear to ear. He had glitter in his hair and about 5 stickers on his face. I laughed at his goofy expression.

"What on earth are you doing?" I said amiably.

"Mabel and I are coloring!"

"Does coloring really require you to put stickers on your face?" I asked.

"Of course!" Mabel shouted from the other side of the room. She had a sticker on her face as well.

"Can I come in?" I asked.

"Sure!" Mabel said. I stepped out from under the doorframe and surveyed the room. It looked like Dipper and Mabel's bedroom. Mabel's bed was on the right side, covered in colorful rainbow blankets. Dipper's bed was on the left, which was scattered with books and papers. I sauntered over to his bed and sat down. I picked up one of Dipper's books. The cover read 'A Study in Scarlet'. Wow, Dipper must really like reading considering he's reading Sherlock Holmes. I've read a few of those books; they were pretty good. I put the book down and cleared my throat.

"So where's mom?" I asked.

Greg answered, "She left and let me stay here and play with Mabel." He said happily.

"Yeah, it seemed like your mom could've used some time off. I told her I could watch Greg for her." Mabel added. "I told her I'd be willing to watch him any time so, I reckon you guys will come again."

I said under my breath, "I was planning on coming here again anyway."

Despite whispering, Mabel still heard me. "Why were you going to come again? To see Dipper?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows.

I scowled slightly and said, "None of your business." I liked Mabel, she was a nice person. I just didn't feel like talking to her about how cute her own brother was. How was Mabel able to pick up on my affectionate thoughts for Dipper?

"Speaking of Dipper, I should probably go check on him," I said, hiding the fact that I wanted to see if he was hitting on Wendy or not. Why did I get nervous whenever those two were around each other?

I leapt off of Dipper's bed, exited the attic, and made my way down the creaky stairs. I stood outside the back door of the gift shop; I could hear Dipper and Wendy's conversation from behind the door. Dipper's voice sounded strained and serious. I suppose they're having a grim discussion. I decided to let them finish up before I inturuppted. I could hear faint snippets of Dipper's voice. Things like, "decision", "confused", and "still figuring things out". However, I clearly heard the last sentence Dipper spoke.

"I'm bisexual, Wendy," He said.

Oh shit.

I wasn't supposed to hear that.
