"No, no, no. That can't be right. It's not possible." I babbled in hysterics. I didn't think that it would bother me that much, but just knowing that I should already be saved, it was terrifying. "Calm down, we'll figure this out." Cam whispered breaking me from my thoughts. I hugged him tightly, I trusted this boy, he had definitely not given me a reason to think that he would do anything other than protect me, so I whispered the words that changed our lives forever, "Please Cam, don't let me die." He looked down at me, his brown eyes drowning in tears as he raked a hand through his messy brown hair, pulling it in to spikes which in any other situation would have me laughing at him. "I would never let you die, Thalia." He whispered into my ear sincerely, "you're too precious."

I sat in stunned silence for seconds that seemed to drag on like hours. Did Cam just flirt with me? I secretly hoped that Cam flirted with me. But I am far too forward for indecision. So, I brushed my obsidian hair out of my face, getting caught on the lashes that framed my golden eyes, and I kissed him. Straight on the lips. And he didn't pull away, instead he leant in, deepening the kiss until it stopped abruptly. "I don't really want to suffocate you, do I? I am meant to be saving your life." I laughed gently, but it held unspoken words. I turned from him, "wouldn't be a bad way to go." I mumbled to myself, but Cam heard me. With a small laugh he pulled me into a hug, and we picked up the kissing where we left off.
