Chapter 3

Bella's P.O.V.

Oh crap! No! It's HIM!

This was the last person I wanted to see, especially when today I was supposed to be focused on Ryan! I rolled my eyes at the thought. Then, I instantly stopped in my tracks.

"Umm...let's go..!" I quickly said to Jenny while lightly hitting her arm non-stop. I have a habbit of lightly hitting people's arms or legs when im nervous. She noticed my eyes had widened.

"What's wrong??" She asked in puzzlement.

"Umm..." I asked, trying to think of an excuse to leave. "I just remembered what Ryan wanted! And it's all the way on the opposite side of the mall..." My excuse sounded so fake.

"Oooh! What is it? What store is it in??" Jennifer asked excitedly, 'buying' my little "excuse".

Her questions were annoying me and I only had a little bit of time. By the minute, he was getting closer, and her questions were mutiplying. Then it hit me! She knew he was coming towards me and her and she was stalling! Ugh! I'm going to get back at her later!

"Let's go before it sells out! It IS on sale!" I lied again while pulling her arm in the opposite direction. Hoping that she will 'get' the message. But she didn't. Because she's retarded and annoying.

"Geez! What's your hurry??" Jennifer said like she had no clue what was going on and then she continued talking. "We'll go but let's just get my present first, since GameStop is right here! Then we'll get your present after. It won't take long!" She said smartly. She knew what she was doing. But it was too late.

Yay life.

"Hey hot stuff." He winked at me.

"Ugh. It's you." I rolled my eyes.

"You know you enjoy what you see." He smirked.

"Hah! Yeah right! I'd rather slam my head it a car door!" I said back with confidence.

"Ouch. Well on the other hand, I like what I see." Luke winked at me, while biting his bottom lip. His eyes had just trailed up and down my body.

Is this the best he could do to 'woo' me? This was pathetic! I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever." I said irritated. "Can you move out of my way so I could go to GameStop, please?" I started to say umpatiently.

"Awe how sweet?! You must be a goody-to-shoes! You use your manners!" He said in a girly voice.

That actually made me smile. The way he said it wanted to make me laugh. But I held it in and bit my lip once I realized he had just saw me smile a little bit.

He immediately said something again," Well finally! I have been waiting for that smile." But he didn't want to sound interested in me. So, he fake coughed and kind of muttered under his breath, but loud enough for me and Jenny to hear. "Because your always grouchy and mean to me...even though you secretly dig me."

And he's back.

I rolled my eyes at his award winning smirk and annoying wink.

"I am not grouchy! I am usually a very happy person! Until I see your disgusting face!" I yelled and tried moving around him.

But he moved so much faster than I expected, and he ended up right in front of me again. I hit his rock hard chest and started to fall backwards. But now, my hands were on his muscular byceps grasping for balance, because knowing me, I'm a clumbsy person.

He caught me by putting his hands on my lower back, where my skin was showing. This act sent shivers through my body. My stomach felt like it dropped and I was feeling warm. His large hands sent tingly feelings from my head to my toes when he made contact with my skin. I have never felt such weird feelings over a simple touch.

We were just staring at eachother for the longest time, or what felt like forever. I was gazing into his crystal blue eyes and time stopped. He was giving me the same exact look and as soon as I noticed he was slowly moving closer to my face, I came back to reality. I quickly got out of his grip unwillingly, but didn't make it obvious.

What was I doing?!? I didnt like him! I hated him! He called me names and he's a player. I know that because of how cocky he acts. I looked around to see if Jennifer was watching what had just happened and thank God she wasn't! I think Luke's friend was trying to flirt with her, but I dont know because I was out of it.

"Umm..." I hesitated. "Err..thanks for catching me..." I said. And then before I could even hear what he said back, I went to the nearest exit of the mall and went straight towards my car.
