So after cleaning our dorm spotless, Rose bounced in. "I just got a call from my bro! He's coming over today, on the six o'clock plane! Aren't you excited?!" she was bouncing up and down, her ADHD was going haywire.
I chuckled. "Oh yeah, bunches. Does he have a place to stay, and is he prepared to pay for it? 'Cause, I'm not paying anything to a guy I haven't even met."
Her bouncing stopped as she glared at me, her hands on her hips. "Excuse me? I haven't asked you for money in weeks. Besides, he's just going to spend the night here, with me in my room. Then he's going to a hotel. Alright?"
I groaned. "thank god we have separated rooms! Fine, only for the first night. He's got to go to the hotel straight afterward."
She let out a squeal, as in a very high-pitched scream. "thank you, thank you, thank you!" and out the door she went. "See you later!"
I still don't understand that girl. We've been living together for over a year now, and I still can't figure her out. And I now dreading meeting her brother. If he is anything like Rose, then I am doomed.

when she did return, she was carrying a computer bag and laughing. I walked out of the kitchen, only to try to escape back inside. But she still saw me.
" Hey, Anne! Get out here, I have someone you will want to meet!" she sung. She is going to introduce me to her brother, isn't she? Nope! I'm going back into the kitchen where I will be safe!
"in cooking!" I allied once I was safe. "how does chicken Alfredo sound?" I turned off the burner to the boiling pot of yummy goodness. It smelled so good, I couldn't help but taste it. Mmm, so yummy. And people think I can't cook, ha!
I quickly set the table for three, and was about to go back and get the food, when I rammed straight into someone, sending me to the ground. But when I looked up to yell at my 'attacker', no words would come to me.
he was so gorgeous; crisp twilight blue eyes, red hair that seemed to not be real, muscles clearly outlined in his tight black t-shirt, and a troublemaker smile that made my insides melt. There is no way this can be her brother. No way at all. "are you alright?" he asked as he offered to help me up. His voice, oh my god his voice! It was so deep, so masculine, and it made my heart stop.
I nodded numbly, I simply couldn't tear my eyes away from his. In my opinion, he was a god. I took his hand, and instantly I was back on my feet. Obviously his muscles were much stronger than I anticipated.
I must have been swooning, he was perfect in every way to me. I didn't let go of his hand, and he didn't let go either.
Which must be the reason Rose chose that moment to come back in. "Hi guys!" she giggled. I dropped his hand, blushing. "I see you've met! Bro, this is Anne. Anne, this is my brother Hunter. Anne is an Elf from the Forsaken tribe."
He met my eyes again, causing me to blush deeper. "A Forsaken Elf? It is a honor." He bowed.
oh god, this is so awkward. He's a gentleman too! Can this guy get any better, I think not! I looked at my feet, embarrassed. "I better go and get dinner served." I whispered as I walked away. Rose started giggling to here brother.
oh my god.

Dinner was rather uncomfortable. I let Rose and Ambrose talk, but I could feel his eyes on me the entire time. And when rose tried to tried to include me in their conversations, I replied with quiet small talk. Soon, she gave up.
Ambrose volunteered to do dishes, but Rose vetoed him. "Nuh-uh, mister. You are going to relax from all the traveling you did today. And Anne, since you made dinner, I will do the dishes. No buts, Anne! I don't care, I'm doing them!" And I was left with her brother, a retort still on my tongue.
"So... Anne, how are you liking being away from your tribe?"
"Its.... different."
And so it went. We exchanged small talk until finally he asked me something strange.
"Anne, do I make you nervous?" His eyes searched my face, wanting an answer. "Do I make you nervous, little Elf?" He whispered into my ear. I hadn't noticed how close he had moved during our uncomfortable talking. He was so close to me, I could smell his cologne. It reminded me of the ocean that my tribe was just off the close to my tribe. Salty and sweet.
"Yes..." the word slipped from my tongue.
"Why?" Still, his whispers were driving me crazy. They were so seductive too, making me nervous. I had never been this close to a man before.
I started to tremble, which made no sense to me. I was not afraid of him, I knew he did not want to cause me harm. That's the last thing he wanted to do. No man had ever made me feel this way before. My heart was racing at over 1000 miles an hour, and my hormones were driving me crazy. Never in my life had I felt like this. I cant figure out if its good or bad.
He leaned towards me, his eyes on my lips. And I instinctively leaned forward to meet him.
