"Mission accomplished!" Ladybug and Chat Noir chorused in sync, closing the space between their hands with a fist bump.

"Where am I?" The squeaky voice of Rose groaned from behind us.

Cat Noir and Ladybug had once again retrieved an akuma out of another person, this time sweet and caring Rose. Hawk Moth had used her anger at being under appreciated and turned her into villain that changed her crafting skills into a weapon. It would've been comical had she not been bedazzling and gluing everyone paralyzed to the spot. This had gone on for thirty minutes or so before Ladybug snapped her sparkly pen, releasing the akuma.

A beeping sound shook Ladybug from her thoughts. Her and Chat Noir made eye contact, signaling it was time to go.

"Pleasure solving crime with you, M'Ladybug." He kissed her hand as Ladybug rolled her blue eyes.

"You hardly do anything you Crazy Kitty."

Chat Noir's eyes turned soft, and he opened his mouth--only to be interrupted by a more urgent beeping.

"You sure I can't stick around?"

Ladybug laughed in response, before racing away, "Not today, Chat!"

Chat ran a hand exasperatedly through his unruly blonde hair and raced behind a set of trees. In an instant, his cat clothes disappeared without a trace and Plagg appeared.

Now he was simply Adrien. He sighed. It was nice being Chat Noir; it gave him a second to just let loose. When he was Chat, he didn't have to think about his low life father or the obnoxious Chloe. He could just be himself, and he got to spend time with Ladybug, a major plus.

He whistled and walked out of the trees casually, using his usual grace. No one suspected a thing.

He didn't see Marinette step out of an alcove as he left the park.

Marinette straightened her jacket, and gave a final goodbye to Tikki before calling Alya.

She only heard the dial tone for a second before Alya picked up, screeching in her ear.

"Where were you? Ladybug was here in the park!" Alya squealed excitedly, and Marinette chuckled. If only her best friend knew.

"I was bedazzled on my way over. I just got your text, and I'm here now."

"Jesus girlfriend, you always miss Ladybug! If I didn't know any better, I'd think you were her!"

Marinette gave a shaky laugh. "Have you seen how klutzy I am?"

Alya's sigh turned to static. "Such a shame. Now get down here! I need a scone from your parents bakery."

"I'll be there. See you in thirty seconds."

"I'll count the moments."

The phone clicked off, and Marinette sprinted away. Alya would get suspicious if she kept this up.

The wind chime jingled as she breathed in the familiar scent of pastries. Her parents were well know for having the best bread in all of Paris, and it did not fall short of its rating.

Alya sat at a table, plate full of pastries next to two cups of hot tea—Marinette's favorite.

Marinette sat down. "Hey Alya, did you get any new scoop for the ladyblog?"

Her friend shook her ombré hair and sighed. "Nothing new."

Marinette took a sip of hot tea and opened her mouth to speak when the she heard the familiar chime of the door. Adrien Agreste, Marinette's long time crush, strolled through the door with his friend, Nino.
