Chapter 8

Usher -

"Yo Ush!" I was in the grocery store getting Taraji's pickles and chips, when I heard somebody calling my name so I turned around, and to my surprise it was Kevin and Jamie.

"Wassup y'all," I said as I walked over to them. "What's good bro what you doing in here?" Kevin asked.

"Getting some stuff for Taraji, she been spending the night with me these past couple days, and she been having these weird ass cravings so I came in here," I said.

"What you got, pickles, hot chips, ice cream, man is she pregnant?" Kevin asked. "Nah man," I laughed. "Bro has she been a little snappy lately like going off on yo ass for no reason?" Jamie asked.

"Uh uh," I said. "She be waking you up at two in the morning asking you to rub her feet?" Kevin asked.

"Yup, " "her breast getting big?" Jamie asked. "Yup, she pregnant ain't she?" I asked. "Sounds like it bro, she ain't take no test or nothing?" Kevin asked.

"Nah, not that I know of," I replied. "Man buy her a test," Kevin said. "Iight, what y'all doing here?" I asked.

"Kelly wanted some more Seagrams, and he wanted a fucking Gatorade," Jamie said. "Y'all a mess, I'm gone go ahead and get this test though I'll see y'all," I replied.

"Iight," Kevin said as he gave me dap. "Iight bro," Jamie said as he did the same. I walked over to the medicine aisle and got two pregnancy tests. I swear if Taraji was pregnant I was gone be happy as hell. I loved that girl with every fiber in my being and for her to have my son or daughter would be a blessing.

I went to the register paid for my stuff and left. Once I made it back to the house Taraji was laying in bed watching TV looking sexy as hell. I climbed in bed and pecked her lips. "Baby I want you to take these," I said.

"K," she replied as she grabbed them both and went to the bathroom. I was shocked as hell cause I knew she was gone argue with me. I put the ice cream in the fridge and then I went back upstairs.

I took off my hoodie and my boots. I walked across the hall and stood outside the bathroom.

Taraji -

Tears fell down my eyes as I saw the pregnancy test. I was pregnant. I was so happy, and worried at the same time. I didn't know if Usher felt the same way. I said a silent prayer, and then I wiped my forehead. I took a deep breath and then I grabbed both tests. I walked outside and to my surprise he was standing there waiting.

"So?" He asked with his dimples in full affect. I showed him the tests and a huge smile spread across his face. He laughed and ran his hand through his head. "Come here girl," he said smiling from ear to ear.

I walked over to him, and gave him a peck on the lips. "Wow, I'm bout to be a daddy," he said as he broke down in tears. I wrapped my arms around his neck and he held me tighter. "I love you baby," he said as he rubbed my back. "I love you too baby more than you can imagine," I replied. He wiped his eyes and then He led me to the room, we got in bed and cuddled up close to each other. I watched the game with him while I ate my chips and my pickle. "You over there smashing huh?" He laughed as he rubbed my stomach. "Yup," I laughed as I took a bite of my pickle. "Baby if we have a girl what we gone name her?" He asked. "I always wanted to name my daughter Ryan," I replied. "And if we have a boy?" He asked. "Jacobi," she replied.
"I like both of those names," he said. "We having a girl though," I said. "Nah man we having a boy," he laughed. "No we not Usher, we having a girl, I wanna girl," I said. "Lord let this be a boy," he said as he rubbed my stomach. "Whatever," I laughed. "It will be crazy if we have twins," he said. "Boy don't say that I'm not pushing out two babies at once, maybe separate years but not after the other one shit," I said. "Whatever girl," he said as he licked on my ear. "Uh uh stop that's why I'm pregnant now," I laughed. "Girl whatever," he laughed.

Beyonce's song Blow came on and I started dancing. "Keep me humming keep me moaning," I sung. "That's why you pregnant," he said as we laughed. "Shut up, boy," I laughed. "Baby you caring my child makes me feel blessed I couldn't be happier," he said. "Aww I love you baby," I said as I pecked his lips. "I love you too, always and forever,"
