Kelli's POV

"Kelli?!" Rosie's piercing scream echoes around in my head.

"What?!" I snap still fuming over the tweet from Calum.

He said he would stay away and he comes back, typical.

I mean he probably didn't know I was here but, still if he sees me I'm dead.

"Ok, Kel what's wrong?" Maddie says calmly as Rose becomes annoyed.

"Look." I growl shoving my phone in her hand roughly.

I really need to calm down.

I begin to pace on the sidewalk rapidly taking deep breathes.

Ok, count to ten?

One...

I still want to punch Calum in his perfect teeth.

Two...

Think of Harry. Calm down. You don't need to take this out on your friends or Harry.

Three...

What if Calum tries something when he sees me with Harry?! Sounds like the kind of low thing he would do...

Four...

Oh fuck it's not working....

"Oh shit. That's your ex?!" Maddie says, pulling up a recent picture of Calum.

"Yeah," I huff out, still trying to calm down.

"He's hot, damn." She mutters, now clicking on pictures of his band.

Before I moved to Texas, my family lived in Sydney, Australia. My mom wanted to live somewhere different, somewhere new and exciting. So she figured Australia was the best place to go.

Calum and I met when we were Juniors and dated for most of that year, until he became so focused on his band that I never saw him anymore.

When Calum and I broke up, it was when my mom decided to move, again, we were apparently too disconnected from family. We both decided that a long distance relationship would hurt us too much.

It was fine, until he had the need to tell the whole Junior class that he broke up with me because of how clingy and overbearing I was.

He made me look like an idiot in front of the entire school, and decided to rub it in my face that we weren't dating anymore.

"Not as hot as this guy though," She says whistling, while I roll my eyes as she shows me a picture of Luke Hemmings.

Another member of Cal's band, he was always a jerk to me because he thought I was a distraction to Calum and his music.

"I hope he doesn't notice you, because we are kinda gonna watch the show from backstage." Rose mumbles, looking away shyly.

"Fuck! Do you know what that boy will do if he sees me with Harry?! Calum will come up with some twisted up story and blab it to him. Hell, he might even tell the whole world on stage!" I exclaim, receiving odd and strange glances from other pedestrians.

They probably think I'm a mental hospital escapee now...

"Okay, Kelli. Look at me." Maddie says grabbing my shoulders, gripping them tightly.

"Listen, Harry will be at your side the whole time, and when he's not we will. I mean have you seen the way he basically kills other guys who dare to look at you, just by simply staring them down?" She says as my heart begins to beat normally again.
