Kelli's POV
I quickly dive back to the other end of the couch, which results in me crashing onto the floor.
"Jesus Christ, was a head dive necessary Kel?" Shandril smirks, rolling her eyes as she shuts the door.
"What the hell are you doing here?" I manage after picking myself up.
"I'm finishing my last year here, just transferred, why?" She says innocently.
"I mean, what are you doing at the boys' apartment." I answer sighing heavily.
"I could ask you the same thing," Shandril counters triumphantly, "although I have a pretty decent idea why you are here. Yall were practically drooling over each other in New York." She explains, setting her purse down on the kitchen table.
"Shandril, how did you even know who's apartment this was?" I say, trying to stop her from avoiding my questions.
"Sweetie, does it look like I'm stupid?" She laughs as she begins to raid the pantry.
"This is your house." I turn to Harry, who's been silent the entire time.
"She has this look that, if I touch her, she'll snap me in half so...as long as she isn't here when Louis comes back, I'm good." He sums up, once again reclining on the couch.
"Why are you so scared of Louis anyway? He's so tiny, and cute. He's like a lost puppy." Shandril says smiling widely.
"Think of that puppy but imagine it with anger issues. Control issues as well.." Harry states bluntly, while Shandril scoffs.
"Well, I happen to know that he truly cares about this band and your friendship deeply. Plus, when I'm with him, his demeanor-"
"Hold up!" I stop her. She looks like a deer caught in the headlights. "No wonder."
"Crap. Okay, fine. But we aren't...dating?" She said, but it sounded more like she was reassuring herself. "He's just, an old friend of mine." She says crisply, then stalks down the hall, towards the bedrooms.
"Okay then." I grumble turning around to face Harry, who's face was knitted in concentration.
"I knew Louis was hiding something." He mumbles softly.
"Hey, you don't know that." I say, even though it feels like I'm lying to myself.
Shandril is notorious for her charm, but Louis tends to be quite the charmer himself. Honestly, they would be a cute couple, but then there's the band, and the fact that dating fans to most people isn't 'ethical'.
I'm eighteen, it's not like it's illegal. I mean, yes it would look bad on the boys- Okay, it's a lose, lose situation here.
Just then, an idea popped into my head. Harry's birthday was coming up, and he needs a distraction from Louis.
I need to call Maddie and Rosey.
"Let's not focus on that right now. Your birthday is in, what three days?" I laugh, trying to brighten his mood a bit.
"The birthday boy can't be frowning." I tease, poking him in the ribs once more.
He burst out laughing, and drops his serious attitude completely. I'll deal with all of this Louis and Shandril business later.
Dammit, I'll have to go shopping for this, don't I?
Oh dear Lord, Maddie is gonna go nuts...even if she isn't here.

"That one! No! Was that leopard print I saw?! Turn the phone to the right!" Maddie shouts at me through the phone.
I huff in frustration, and turn my phone to face me. "Mads, I called you to help me find something cute to wear to Harry's birthday, not something so....revealing..." I say holding up the leopard print dress she was yelling about before.
"Rose already has her dress, and it's f.ucking gorgeous." I speak into the phone, scanning the other dresses laid out.
"She could've helped me shop, but her and Liam deserve some alone time..." I mumble turning my attention back to the screen.
"Why can't yall wait till Ni and I come back to the states to have this party?" She whines, standing up from the chair she was sitting in.
"Where are you?" I ask suddenly.
"Well, I was outside but this needs my full attention." Maddie grumbles, and flops down on what I can only assume is her hotel room bed.
"Um, this one?" I say, lifting up a purple dress into view.
"No. Something blue." She says thoughtfully. "Brings out your eyes a bit."
I stumble upon the perfect turquoise dress. (Pic at the top.) I immediately show Maddie who's eyes brighten, and nods vigorously.
"That's the one girl! Harry will definitely appreciate it..." She smirks as I see the door open from behind her.
Niall casually steps through the door, shirtless, with only a towel around his waist.
"Okay!" I screech, twisting my phone to face the floor causing customers to stare at me disapprovingly.
"Madison, when the f.uck are you gonna be ready?" I hear Niall yell loudly, causing the mother browsing with her two kids behind me to storm off.
"Niall! Shut up! There are children in this story!" I hiss, not even glancing at the screen.
"Let's go to the beach babe." I hear Maddie whisper, while Niall hums in satisfaction.
I sneak a peak at the phone screen to see Maddie laying on top of Niall.
Oh great she set the phone down, and at the worst angle ever.
"Jesus people..." I grumble causing Maddie to laugh loudly.
"Just be yourself girl, and wear that dress. You'll get his heart racing like you always do." Mads says confidently while blowing me a kiss, as I hear an impatient groan come from Niall.
"I'll talk to you later." I say, while Maddie waves me off and dives in to kiss Niall as the facetime ends.
(A/N so this took me a while to write because I am dealing with stuff right now, and the only reason I can actually write is because writing distracts me from what happened. Thank yall for being patient.)
