Sam was laying on the soft blanket that Henry had streched across the grass. Her hands were behind her head and she closed her eyes smiling as she felt the sun warming her skin.
Earlier, about mid morning, Henry woke Sam up holding her bikini in his hand. "Put this on. Today's a day for the lake." He instructed.
"Five more minutes." Sam mumbled.
Henry scooped her up and she nuzzled her face into his neck. She stiffened when she heard the shower turn on. "No. No. Please."
Splash. The cold water of the shower soaked her body. After threatening his life Sam decided there was no sense in fighting it now. She was up and dripping wet, clothes and all. They got ready and jumped in Henry's truck, heading off to the lake.
On the way there Sam told Henry that Francesca had a meeting with Detective White today. She had called Sam while Henry had gone down stairs to load his truck. Sam asked the Detective if she had any new information or leads. Detective Fenzini had told her that the investigation was going well, and that she would debrief Sam when she returned.
As Sam lay with the sun on her body she rolled over onto her side to face Henry. "It's so beautiful here." She said looking over at the calm water of the lake from her spot on the blanket.
"It is." Henry replied, looking at Sam.
A few moment's later she got up. Looking around to make sure that they were still alone in the secluded place she turned to look at Henry. His attention was on her as soon as she had got up, she smiled a sly smile at him. He raised a brow in question of what she was up to. Sam winked and reached her hand behind her back and tugged at the knot in her bikini. She covered herself with on arm and took the bikini top in her other. She twirled it around and tossed it back at Henry landing on his very surprised face. Sam slid her bikini bottoms off and kicked them back towards Henry and suddenly took off running into the lake.
She ran into the water until it was covering her chest. She turned around to call to Henry but was surprised when she didn't see him. Sam looked around. Where did he sneek off to? She thought to herself as she continued to scan the area. And then she spotted him. Swinging from the rope swing, completely naked. Henry let go of the old rope and tucked his knees to his chest landing in the water with a large splash.
"Cannon ball!" He yelled as his head popped out of the water. Henry swam over to a still laughing Sam.
"Um, you're supposed to yell that as you jump, not after." Sam said after she caught her breath.
"Hmm." Henry pretended to be deep in thought, he stretched his arm out under the water and wrapped it around Sam's waist."I don't know about that Sammy." He said as he pulled her flush against him.
Sam felt her cheeks redden as her skin touched his."Well, Ree," she said causing him to smile,"I'm sure. And you're supposed to yell it before." Gently pushing off of Henry Sam swam away.
"Hey!" He yelled sticking his lower lip out in a pout."Where do you think you're going?"
Sam smiled back at him. She swam to the shallow water and laughed when she heard Henry whistle at her exposed assets. "Showing you how its done!" She yelled back.
Henry let out a deep chuckle."Oh really?"
Sam ran over to the rope and grabbed on tight. She walked backward so she could get a running start. "Really." She teased as she took off running at full speed. She leapt off the ground and swung out above the water."Cannon ball!" She yelled before her body collided with the cool water of the lake.
