When I got home, my mum was horrified.
"What happened to you!!!" She roared, before she broke down into tears and pulled me into a hug. I didn't even notice that I was crying too. I wanted to tell her everything, but Mum just couldn't fix this. I did tell her something, though.
"Mum, I'm getting bullied.." At this point, she couldn't stop crying. My mother used to be the strong type, but when Dad died, she turned soft and weak. She was depressed for quite a long time, but eventually she pulled through. Even though she was cured from depression, she was never that strong person again. But she was a great mother, and that's all that mattered. When she regained some strength, she spoke.
"Why did they do this, Honey?" I was contemplating whether or not it would be best to tell my mother the truth, but eventually I just gave in, and told Mum what happened.
"Well... I made a friend an-"
"You made a friend? That's great!" I really didn't want my mum to talk to me about how little friends I had.
"Yes and because he hangs out with m-"
"He? You met a he?"
"YES. Anyway, because he hangs out with me instead of the Barbies,"
"Wait. Who are the-"
"JUST LET ME FINISH. Where was I? Oh yeah. The Barbies get jealous."
When I looked into my mum's eyes, I knew she was hurting. She was hurting because I was hurting. And that hurt. I hugged my mum once more, and went off to bed.

The next day, Mum thought it would be best if I stayed home. I couldn't even raise my hand without a cut activating excruciating pain. It was unbearable. Then, something unusual happened. I got a text message. It read:
"Hey, this is Jason. Are you feeling okay? Hope you will be able to come to school tomorrow.. Miss you here!!
;)"
I couldn't help but smile. He made me feel wanted. My eyes started to close, and as I drifted off to sleep, my thoughts were all about Jason.

"Hey Jason!!" I yelled from across the hall.
"I'm coming!" He replied. He walked over to me and held my hands. What was he doing?
"Abby, I have something to tell you..."
"I'm listening"
"Abby... I.. Um.. I.. I think I love you."
"Um.. I have to go..." And as I said that I blushed, and my face turned as red as a tomato. I have never thought of him in this way.. I mean, he is a great friend and I do like him but... Do I love him?

"Abby, wake up!" I heard a soft voice say.
"How did you even get into my house?!" I shouted. My throat hurt.
"I have my sources. Anyway, how are you?" He held one of my hands in both of his.
"Could be better, to be honest." I said sarcastically.
"Shut up.. I'm gonna stay by your side until those girls leave you alone."
"You don't get it, Jason. YOU are the reason they beat me up.. I'm so sorry. For everything.. It's all my fault."
"What are you apologizing for? It's clearly my fault. If I hadn't come into your life, you would still be fine. I'm sorry. I should go-"
"No. Stay." So I shuffled over on my bed, and he came and lay next to me. He put his arm around me.
"Shhh.. Just go to sleep. I'll be right here watching." And with that, I went back to sleep.
