Even If You Don't Know.

Ten.

"Hey Honey, how was school?" Mum asked, but I just went along walking. When I reached my room, I just stood there numb. I didn't do anything. At that moment, my mum approached me.
"Abigail? She asked.
"What did you call me?" I said, a little bit angrily.
"I'm sorry, I just-"
"Don't call me that." My voice was getting louder.
"Then talk to me!"
"It's not about you, so you don't need to know!"
"Fine! But don't bother begging me once you really need my help!" And with that, she slammed the door behind her. I lay down on my bed, trying to forget. Forget about what was in Jason's letter. Forget about what my mum said to me. And most of all, forget about everything I had once known, because it's all going to change.
"Abby!" My mum screamed from downstairs.
"Yeah, Mum?" I replied.
"I'm going out to dinner tonight!" Uhhh... WHAT?! She hasn't gone out since Dad was still alive!
"Why? Why now?!" I yelled.
"It's time for me to move on. Dinner's in the fridge. Bye." What has gotten into her? Raged boiled my blood.
"WHAT KIND OF MOTHER ARE YOU?! BECAUSE YOU'RE DEFINITELY NOT THE GOOD KIND!" After I yelled that, she slammed the door and took off in the car. Even after I said that, she couldn't even come back. There I sat, sad, alone and scared. I fell to the floor crying continuously, until everything faded out of consciousness.

"Abby!! Wake up!! Please, for me! I can't lose you! Not now. Please wake up!" I heard someone say. Where am I? Who was that? What's happening? A billion questions boggled around my mind.
"What do I do, Doctor?" I'm in a hospital?
"Just talk to her. I'm pretty sure she can hear you."
"Okay, thanks. Um... Hi Abby, it's me, River. I-I-I'm so s-sorry." I could tell she had been crying.
"Abby, if you can hear me, c-can you please wake up. We need you here! I need you here! Abby, please don't leave me!! B-but i-if you decide..." She was barely getting the words out.
"If you decide to go... Then.. I'm sorry. You deserved so much better. I'm sorry." And even though I couldn't move, a tear rolled down my face. There was nothing else I could do, but at least I showed her that I can hear everything she says.. Then I felt something pull me into a hug.
"I'll be back soon." She said, as she walked out of the room. After that, Jasmine, Holly and Brooke all visited and said some great things. But hours have past, and my mum still hasn't come. It put me in a very depressed state. But the next morning came, and so did River.

"Hey Abby, since now I know you can hear me, I'm just going to fill you in on some stuff that you usually don't like to talk about. So..." I used every strength I had and screamed "DON'T! PLEASE!" "OH MY GOSH!!! DOCTOR, DOCTOR!! SHE'S AWAKE!! OH MY GOSH!!! YAAAAYYYYYY!!! ALL OF MY HAPPINESS HAS BEEN RESTORED!!! WOOO!"
"Miss, please be quiet! There are other patients here!" The doctor whisper shouted.
"Oh. Sorry." She went outside and called everyone. Within minutes they were there.
"Abby!" They shouted in unison. They jumped on me and gave me the strongest hug possible.
"Look, I love you guys, but GET OFF ME!" And with that, they all tumbled off the hospital bed.
"Um... Just wondering, have you seen my mother?" I asked.
"No, but when we went past her house, we found this letter with your name on it. It's most likely from her." Brooke said. They handed me the letter, and without hesitation, I opened it.
"Dear Abigail,
I'm sorry to say this, but I have found a new man in my life that makes me very happy. We are moving to another country.... Without you. I couldn't leave you any money as we needed it all to buy a new house. I'm sure you can do this without me. Just because I'm leaving you, doesn't mean I don't love you.
From, Mum."
"Get me out of here." I demanded.
"Why? You only just woke u-"
"Get me out of here, NOW!"
"Don't you think you shoul-"
"IF SOMEONE DOESN'T GET ME OUT OF HERE RIGHT NOW, YOU WILL BE SORRY!" And with that, they signed me out and took me home.

"Now that you're home, can you tell us why you wanted to come back so early?" Holly asked. I gestures towards the letter, and they took it and read it.
"Are you sure she's your biological mother?" Holly asked.
"I.... I'm disgusted." Brooke continued.
"I am going to kick her and her 'boyfriend' so far, they will fly past Pluto." River said, in a dark tone.
"Guys, really, don't worry about it. I'm fine. I just have to get a job! And learn to cook. And clean...." My voice saddened.
"Don't worry, we can help you!" River said.
"Oh! And you can live at my place until you can afford it!" Holly offered.
"And don't forget, my mum's a chef! She can teach you how to cook!!" Brooke exclaimed, excitingly. I pulled them into a group hug.
"Thank you." I whispered. And I had never been more thankful in my entire life.
