I HAVE NO AFFILIATION WITH LUCASFILM, DISNEY OR GEORGE LUCAS HIMSELF.

I own nothing you recognise.

I only own my OC, the kid who throws the world of our four Rogues into a tail spin.

Please enjoy.

Everything had been going so smoothly, which in itself was very unusual for the Rogues. But Wedge had foolishly let himself slip into the comfort of the belief that everything was going to be just fine. Maybe the alcohol Wes had him ingest the night before was still lingering in his system, or the hit to the head he had sustained courtesy of Tycho (accidently of course, the other man had been slightly over-zealous with his hand motions) had left more damage than he had realised, or maybe he was just simply hoping against hope that nothing was going to frag up his plans for pretty much the first time ever.

But of course something did, explosions, gunfire, screaming, death, etc. Then something small, with big grey eyes and dark brown hair, with rosy cheeks and a toothy grin and somehow at the end of everything, something altogether horrifying happened.

Rogue squadron accidently adopted a little girl.

Wes loved it. He decided pretty quickly she could be their team mascot.

Arguments of:

"We are not a team, we're a squadron, Squadron mascot."

"We could get her a little helmet!"

Were thinly veiled agreements, that came mostly from Tycho, who to be honest was just enjoying the look of sheer terror on Wedge's face (because the kid would not let go of his leg.).

Other arguments, which actually rebuked these ideas came from the commander himself.

"She's a Corellian, not a droid or something. She is not going to be a mascot."

"We can't have a kid, we already have one." (Cue a pointed look to Wes.)

"None of us know what to do with a kid!"

The man was closer to panic than any one had ever seen him. He could attack the Death Star (twice), deal with Wes (just), and fight armies of Imperials, but a little girl. No way.

Hobbie had been quiet through this, the kid sensed it and waddled over to him on her little toddler legs, with that endearing big smile and tugged at the leg of his flight suit. And then he smiled at her. The arguing stopped as he reached down to pick up the little bundle in his arms.

Damn.

Now they had to keep her.

Hit me up with a review, tell me what you think!
