Eugene

Mr Jung, my mother, Hoseok, Taehyung and myself all sat around the dinner table at my house for a family meeting. We haven't had one of these officially before, but there's a first time for everything, right?

"So, why did you call us all here?" I asked no one in particular.

"Well, your mother and I have been thinking about living arrangements since we are married now, and we have decided that we are going to move into my home." Mr Jung had explained.

"What are we doing with this house then?" I seemed to have interrupted, because Mr Jung placed a hand up and continued.

"I was getting to that." He stated. "Since you're old enough, you and Taehyung live here as your own house. You'll have us out of your hair, and we'll be right next door if you need anything."

"Are you serious?" Taehyung and I spoke in unison. We looked at each other and smiled widely.

"Yes. You both own this house now. We'll keep it in our name although, so you don't have to worry about the bills and mortgage." My mother confirmed the good news, and I sub consciously wrapped an arm around my boyfriends neck, pulling him closer to me. I was over the moon.

"Wait, what about Hoseok?" I stopped cheering and looked over to my step brother.

"He can decide where he wants to go." Mr Jung shrugged.

"Oh, I'll stay at home—Where I am now. I don't want to hear what's going to go on between them two now that they have the house to themselves." Hoseok looked towards Taehyung and I with an expression of disgust. My face paled as I picked up a handful of candies from the bowl in the middle of the table and threw them at him.

"Yah! Jung Hoseok, you idiot!" I yelled as I felt my face become hot. I covered my blushing cheeks as I looked over at Taehyung, who was finding this horribly amusing. "Stop laughing!" I took a hand off my face and slapped his bare arm. He continued to laugh, the other two males joining in. I made eye contact with my mother, and her appearance was blank, yet awkward. I sent her a look, telling her to stop them because my attempt failed.

"Get in, Taehyung." Mr Jung shouted, laughing some more.

"Alright! That's enough!" She finally stopped the boys with her strict tone that I haven't heard in a while.

"Hun, we're just playing." Mr Jung pecked her cheek as they all calmed down. She sent him a warning look, then sent one over to Taehyung, clearly telling him to keep his hands off her one and only daughter.

"Don't worry. I'll always take good care of her." Tae assured my mother. The whole conversation had made me feel embarrassed, and I left the table to get a glass of water from the kitchen. I heard footsteps behind me, and turned around to see Mr Jung.

"Are you angry, Eugene?" He asked softly.

"Hm? Oh! No, no. I'm just a little embarrassed. I've never... you know." I admitted to him.

"Oh, really? You've been together for 2 years and you haven't done anything?" Mr Jung interrogated. I nodded. "Wow, he's patient. He must really love you. Me being a man myself, I know how boys' brains work. See, usually-" I quickly cut off his explanation before I heard anymore.

"M-Mr Jung, please stop. I don't mean to sound rude, but I don't really want to know." I nervously chuckled before taking a sip of my water.

"Sorry. You need to know these things, though. You're growing up."

"I... I'm 20 years old!" I fought for myself. "I know what life is like." I giggled.

"Alright, alright. If you say so. Now, come on. Let's go back in there." Mr Jung guided me to the dining room as we both sat back down. Taehyung put his hand on my thigh as I got comfortable, and I turned to look at him at the same time he sent me a comforting smile.
