Eugene

"And then, Hoseok was like 'He called my dog fat!', and I never laughed harder in my life." I laughed as I told Taehyung a story.

"It was a cat, not a dog." Hoseok corrected me, not even the slightest smile on his face. He hates this story.

"Well... Dog sounds better." I argued. I looked over at Taehyung and he was giggling childishly.

"You two... are wild." He was shaking his head, trying to wipe away his tears.

"You know what they say,-" I was cut off by my mother slamming open the door, and screaming for us.

"Eugene! Taehyung! Hoseok!" She sounded like she was in trouble, so we all quickly rushed to her.

"Eomma! What's wrong?" I asked, holding onto her shoulder.

"Hoseok... You're father..." She was panting like she had been running for miles.

"What happened?!" Hoseok panicked, the color from his face instantly fading. My mother held onto my arm, trying to catch her breath. He was patiently waiting for her to say something, but she hadn't, as she was still trying to find air. "What happened!?" He screamed once again. She gulped and stood up straight, catching her breath.

"Hm? Oh, nothing! He's fine." She played off cooly.

"Then why did you storm in here and make a huge commotion?" I furrowed my eyebrows and squinted my eyes.

"Because he asked me to marry him." She stated casually.

"What?!" Taehyung, Hoseok and I said in unison.

"W-Well, what did you say?" I yelled.

"I didn't say anything. I ran out of the house and ran here." She giggled nervously.

"That sounds oddly familiar." Taehyung commented, laughing. I turned around and slapped his arm, sending him a death glare.

"What are you going to do?" Hoseok pondered after the color had returned to his face.

"I... I don't know." My mother shrugged.

"Ugh, eomma!" I groaned, pushing her out of the house and slamming the door, locking it.

"Chen Eugene!"

"This door isn't going to unlock until you say yes to Mr Jung."

"Aish! You rascal!" I heard her mutter before her footsteps became quiet. I pretended to dust off my hands and walked back into the kitchen, where the three of us were gathered before.

"Woah, Eugene. You're going to be my step sister!" Hoseok smiled.

"Same goes to you."

"Except... I'll be your step brother." I turned to look at him with a shocked expression on my face.

"You're a boy?" I joked, which earned myself a mango to the head. "Ow." I pouted, rubbing my forehead.

"Now that's something to laugh about." He chuckled and I looked over at Taehyung, who was clearly trying to hold in a laugh.

"Just do it." I sighed. He burst out laughing, covering me in spit. I wiped his spit off my face, looking disgusted, while still holding onto the spot where I got a mango thrown at me. "I'm leaving." I stated, about to walk off, but got pulled back.

"No stay." Taehyung embraced me in a tight hug, and I couldn't move.

"Yah, get off me." I tried wriggling out of his grasp, but his strength suggested I stayed. I gave up fighting and just rested there until there was a pounding at the door. Taehyung let me go and I went to get it. "Eomma, what did you say?" I questioned as I saw her face. I also saw a second face behind her. I smiled at Mr Jung.

They both walked inside and went into the kitchen. I watched her with blank expression, annoyed that she ignored my question. I closed the door and followed them.

"So?" Hoseok raised his eyebrows.

"We're getting married!"
