Rajveer-Naina - The Mystery Begins!

Chapter 45

Naina stands, holding her waist from either side, looking at him in anger, but with a little smile on her lips. "Bus yahi to problem hai teri. Pyar se do minute baat nahi kar pata. Gussa to tere naak pe baitha rehta hai. Ab kya main mazak bhi nahi kar sakti?"says Neelu. "Acha na theek hai, tu bus itna bata tu chalegi ya nahi?" "Chal ab jab tujhey 'angry young man banne dekh lia hai , to ye bhi dekh lete hain ki as 'romantic hero' tu kaisa lagta hai!"smiles Neelu.Listening to her comment, makes Alekh to blush. With a smile on his face, Alekh says,"Chal theek hai apun tujhse baad mein baat karta hai". As Alekh places down the receiver, Naina hugs him, getting excited, without even letting him to speak anything.

As they were hugging each other, Captain Rajveer happens to cross the area where they are standing. Seeing them hugging each- other, Rajveer halts. Since Naina's back is facing him, she doesn't come to know that he is staring them. "Sir aap!", Alekh's comment makes Naina to leave Alekh and she turns to look at Rajveer, and discovers, he is already staring her. His expressions giving nothing away. Smiling, he moves forth, his attention more on Naina than on Alekh."Hello cadets, aap log yahan?", he wishes them politely. "Wo Sir, hum kuch zaruri kaam kar rahe the"replies Alekh.Turning towards Alekh he says,"zaruri kaam?" then he looks towards Naina and says,"haan wo to dikh hi raha hai!". Both of Alekh's and Naina's face turn red, out of shame, as if they are caught red-handed doing something impolite. Unable to control his laugh any longer, witnessing their nervous faces, Captain Rajveer bursts out into a laugh. Unable to understand, what brought a sudden change in his mood, Alekh and Naina stare each other, both nervous and surprised simultaneously.

"Apni... apni shaklein dekho aap dono" utters Captain Rajveer, between his laughs. "Apun... apun ko laga aap...""Kya... kya laga apko Cadet, ki main aap dono ke barey mein kuch aisa-waisa soch raha hun?" They don't answer, just stare him. Alekh gives out a sigh of relief. Relaxing Captain Rajveer says, "aisi koi baar nahi hai Cadet Alekh. Please relax". Alekh smiles. Rajveer looks towards Naina, who is staring him, all serious. "Thank you Sir! Acha Sir apun chalta hai". Captain Rajveer smiles, as a gesture of giving him permission to leave. Then turning towards Naina, he asks, "Naina tu chal rahi hai?" Rajveer, putting his hand into his jeans' pockets, stares at the floor, waiting for her to declare her decision."Ahmmm... Nahi Alekh tu ja main baad mein aati hun!"as soon as Rajveer listens to her decision, he gives a silent sigh of relief.

After Alekh leaves, Rajveer and Naina start walking together. Naina says slowly,"ahmm.. kal sub date pe ja rahe hain and kal zada class bhi nahi hain, almost free hain classes. Kal hum ja sakte hain!" says Naina, her eagerness palpable. "Kahan? Date par?" teases Rajveer. His question takes her by surprise, specially his mentioning of the word 'date!'. "Date?"whispers Naina."Haan, sub aaj kal 'date' ki baat kar rahe hain. Maine socha aap bhi...? Nahi?" asks Rajveer, creasing his brows a little, then relaxing."Apko jana hai?"whispers Naina.Waiting for sometime before answering, looking into her eyes, then lowering them he says, "nahi... nahi... bilkul nahi...". Then looking back into her eyes again, he says, "anyways, I... I shall leave now".Unable to understand what else should he say, he tries to word something, but at last ends up giving a smile to her and leaves. Naina smiles back, feeling weird in the given circumstances.

Next Evening

Ali and Pooja reach first in a restaurant named 'COSY'. Ali, dressed up in a red collared shirt and black trousers and Pooja dressed up in a yellow suit, her hair left untied."Ahmm... Pooja ji ye main pehli baar kar raha hun isliye...",holding his hand, and giving an understanding look Pooja says,"Ali, ye mere liye bhi pehli baar hai. Tum daro mat, dekhte hain kya hota hai!"smiles Pooja and lowers her eyes, feeling shy. They get inside and take their seat at the left corner table, first row.

Yudi and Dr. Shalini enter next. Yudi looks handsome in his dark blue top and denim jeans and Dr. Shalini looks beautiful in her pink top and blue jeans, her hair partially tied. "Shall we?" asks Yudi, gesturing her to get inside the restaurant first, in a gentleman style. Smiling, Dr. Shalini obliges. They take their seat at the right corner table, first row.

Huda applies break of his bike, which makes Simran to fall on him. Enjoying it utterly, Huda asks, "Ma'am aap theek to hai na?" "Yes, Huda I am fine" assuring this Simran gets down and waits for him to park the bike. As he joins her back, he gestures her move forth. Entering the restaurant, they search for empty table when Huda gives her compliment, "waise ma'am aaj aap iss red top aur white long skirt mein kafi achi lag rahi hain". Blushing, Simran replies, "Thank you Huda. Tum bhi kafi ache lag rahe ho".Huda's wearing dark blue top with blue denim. Entering the restaurant, they get so much indulged in having conversation that they don't notice any of the previous two pairs present there among other visitors. They seat themselves on the middle table of the third row.

Reaching the entrance with Alekh, wearing a white short one-piece, Neelu brushes the dust off Alekh's collar. They both look at each other, Neelu smiles and they enter the restaurant. They take their seat on the fifth table of the third row.

In KMA

Wearing a dark green coloured suit, her hair left untied, Naina knocks the door of Rajveer's room."Come in" orders Rajveer. (Rajveer- Naina fast tune starts). Pushing the door, Naina stands at the entrance. Surprised to find her there, in such an outfit, Rajveer creases his brows, waiting for her to explain why is she there. "Ahmm... apko jana tha..."

Understanding what is she addressing to, Rajveer relaxes his creased brows and a little smile touches his lips.

Placing the file he had been holding, on the bed, he says, "mujhey laga tum..." he keeps staring her, admiring her beauty, silently. (Rajveer-Naina flute tune starts)

Clearing his throat he was about to say something, when Naina interrupts, and Rajveer looks at her, "Waise, apne kaha tha apko nahi jana! Par maine socha, chal lete hain... waise bhi main bore ho rahi thi". Rajveer keeps looking at her, smiling a little, understanding it perfectly, what she is trying to do.

Rajveer starts moving forth towards her, looking intently into her eyes. Naina lowers her eyes and takes her steps back, still facing him. Soon her back touches the wall, she hangs her head down, out of shyness. Her cheeks turn hot and red under his constant gaze. Looking at her, miserable, Rajveer smiles a little and slowly switches off the light, by pressing the switch behind Naina. As soon as the light goes off, Naina looks into his eyes and says,"light kyun band kia?" "Dheere Naina, agar tum nahi chahti ki bahar kisi ko bhi pata chaley ki hum iss waqt yahan, andhere mein, akele hain to dheere bolo. Haan agar tumhe kisi baat ka darr nahi hai to...", whispers Rajveer and smiles. Seeing and feeling Rajveer so close to her, Naina's heartbeat picks up speed.Naina whispers,"ahmm... aap change kar lijiye, main apka bahar wait karti hun!" then she looks into his eyes to know his reaction on this. Smiling on seeing her looking at him, with a questioning look, he switches on the light and gives her way to leave.

Rajveer soon gets ready, wearing a white inner and dark blue jacket over it, with a blue denim. Reaching her around the enterance of KMA, he says, "Chalein?"Naina turns to look at him, finding him so much attractive, makes her to blush. Drifting her gaze to elsewhere, she nods a 'yes!'. He takes her to his bike. Surprised to discover that they are going on bike, she asks "Hum bike se jayenge?" "Haan kyu?" "Nahi wo... I mean car se kyun nahi?" "Aise hi! Maine socha bike se chalte hain. Waise bhi I guess sub bike pe hi gaye hain". "To? Sub friends hain aur hum..." as soon as she says this, she realizes, she shouldn't have said that. "Aur hum... kya Naina?" She looks into his eyes, then lowers her eyes. Looking at her, he shakes his head. "Fine!" saying this he keeps staring her, all serious and brings out his car's keys and head towards the car, Naina follows him.
