Your eyes the sunrise and the sunset
The beginning and the end
Where in between I trace the maps of your face
with my thoughts.

Your lips the peaches
that seek my mouth
And I eat delightfully with no end
Until I'm hungry again.

Your hair the tidal waves,
the sun-kissed waters
where I swim aimlessly
towards the calmer oceans of your skin.

Your neck the temples,
the secret walls that listen to my poetry
And I pray and prey
Until I am holy and wholly consumed.

And you, my love, the oxygen
The air that fuels these very words
And still you wonder
why I breathe you in like clockwork.
