Freedom (Part 1)

Tallest Red POV

"I don't care if you don't know where to look! Just find her!" I yell at the Irkens who agreed to help try to find my daughter. She's been missing for a few weeks. I'm far too worried to think about anything else. And we haven't heard anything from her...
"She was acting a little strange before she disappeared.." Purple says
"Yeah... Like her giving Zim that planet.." I say
Purple and I look at each other, "Zim!" We both say at the same time.

Princess Tia POV

I sigh sitting at the kitchen table, picking at the plate of waffles that Gir made me.
"What's wrong, don't you like 'em?" Gir asks
"I'm just out of it, Gir. Nothing to worry about." I say
"Worry about?" Gir asks
"No, Gir. Nothing to worry about." I say
"Oh, okay!"
I look at Zim standing in the doorway and my antenna go down.
"Gir, why don't you go watch Angry Monkey?" I say looking back at Gir.
"Okay!" He says and runs into the living room
I look back at Zim.
"Hey, I haven't seen you... why won't you come out of your lab?" I ask
"No reason." He says quietly
"Yeah..." I look at the waffles
"You want something to eat. Gir made plenty." I offer him a waffle
"No, thank you."
"Listen... You know I'm not mad at you for what happened... Right?"
"Yes."
"Good. You need to know that someone will look out for you. To help you learn. Something you've never had." I say
"How do you know that?" Zim asks
"I figured. Gir loves you like your his brother. You treat him like garbage. You've never had someone love you before, so you don't know how to act toward someone who shows those affections. You've never had someone teach you, or help you learn properly, and you've never had someone look out for you..."
"It's true..." Zim starts crying
"Zim, please don't cry." I say and hug him
"I'm not crying!" Zim says whipping his tears away
"Okay." I say and let go of him
"I didn't think you knew so much about me." Zim says
I grab his hand, "what do you know about me?" I ask
"Well, your daughter of Almighty Tallest Red, your mother was a kindred spirit, you don't like being called Princess, and you don't really like your role in royalty." Zim says
"Good job." I say still holding his hand, he actually held my hand in return.
"Thanks, Tia, I try." Zim smiles at me. I blush.
"Hey, you called me Tia! Not Princess!" I say
"It appears I did!" Zim says
I hug him, "Good job." He hugs me back.
"What's going on here?" Someone (who's not Gir) says causing me and Zim to jump and look in the direction of the voice.
Dad and Purple are standing there looking less than thrilled...
Zim's antenna go down, "My Tallest! This is a pleasant surprise."
"Oh $*&%." I say quietly, looking at the ground
"Zim, why is she here?" Purple asks most likely so dad doesn't snap and murder him...
"Why? She told me you didn't know she was here, so.." Zim gets interrupted by dad
"So you thought you would keep the location of my daughter from me?" Dad asks angrily
"I... I guess.." Zim says glancing at me
"Tia, come here now, were leaving." Dad says, Zim gives me a worried look. With tears in my eyes I'm about to surrender, but then I think about how great it felt to be free, to be myself, not having someone constantly on my back... I can't leave that.
"Tia, I said now!"
"No!" I say stepping my Zim who looks shocked
"What did you just say?" Dad asks
"No! You can't make me! I don't have to go anywhere with you!" I say my voice growing louder.
