Chapter 6

The news Scarlet got was heart wrenching. Scarlet found out that her brother, Cameron Rye was murdered in a horrific car accident. Scarlet got a police escort to the scene. When they got there, Scarlet jumped out the cop car and ran towards her brother's dead body. His body cold and bloody. Scarlet started suffocating. Then her suffocation came to a deep breath then out came a terrible shout. Scarlet sobbed and sobbed over her brother.

Scarlet got back to her apartment and cried herself to sleep. Big Frankie shimmied under her arm and purred a small quiet purr. Scarlet got her phone and called Chef."I need you...badly" Her voice broke up into the phone. Chef knew he had to leave."Babe, I'm on my way!".
Chef sped through the busy street and got to Scarlet's apartment. She buzzed him in. Chef cradled her in his arms. Caressing her hair and hugging her tight."I can't. I can't. I can't...."Repeating Scarlet over and over. She was pale, traumatized, and had a ghost-like face. Her face was lifeless. Scarlet stared at the floor with tears rolling down her cheeks. Chef rocked her softly and quietly like a small baby. Then, Scarlet's face grew from dead to angry."I'll kill 'em. I'll kill that bastard dead! I swear! I swear!" She shouted. Trembling with anger. Chef shushed her. Telling her that he'll take care of everything. "What can you do? He's dead! Cameron is dead! You can't do anything! I mean seriously, what can you do? Bring him back to life? Ooh Ooh! Are you gonna get a time machine and rewind time? What! What can you do, huh? Tell me! I want to fucking know!"
Chef snapped."Now listen to me! I know this isn't you talking! I know your upset! I know that! Now I can't bring him back to life or even get a time machine! That's insane, crazy, loco!". Scarlet broke down in tears. Sobbing all over Chef's long T. Then she pulled back together and got angry again."I'm gonna find that son of a bitch! I will make him or her pay! I will take revenge on that person and not show him or her pity! And I mean None with a capital 'N' !" Scarlet got up and walked away from Chef's strong arms. "Are you sleeping with me tonight?". Chef nodded his head and walked in the room and closed the French doors. He took off his jeans, pulled up his socks and got in bed with Scarlet. The warmth of his thighs on the back of hers made her fall asleep.
