8 Months Before
Its been three months since Sarah and i had started dating, but she doesn't like to describe it as that. Its been three months since she said "I love you too", three months since she has been coming over my house on a daily basis. i was never aloud at her house though which kinda hurt because i felt like she didn't want me to know who she is . Junior year was ending and I Sarah still hasn't smiled. i asked her to prom with a 10 foot banner which made her face red like a freshly picked tomato and she didn't like the idea of going at all. so me and Jordan crumpled up a shit ton of effort and sweat (that took two hours to complete) in a huge ball and left to go home.
I received a text from Sarah just as I slumped on my bed, "sorry" it read.
"its fine", I typed back.
I heard the ding that sounds whenever i get a text and it said, "Lets go for a walk at Ridgeway Park."
So with that i throw on a regular t-shirt and and jeans and my red Chuck Taylors and head to the park where we were to meet up. she was wearing the same clothes as she was earlier, a Green Day American Idiot shirt with a red and black flannel, a black skirt, and red Chuck Taylors like mine. She was absolutely stunning but i knew she didn't think that so i was going to tell her.
"Hey." her little voiced had peeped. I didn't reply i just took my hand and intertwined it with hers and we started to walk.
We talked and walked. we talked about many of our favorite things like her favorite band is Green Day and mine is Fall Out Boy, my favorite color is red and hers is purple, stuff like that. We also talked about the future because she said talking about the past makes the future seem more dull.
We reached back to where we started, "thank you" she said. i didn't say your welcome or nod my head I simply brushed my lips against hers and the seemed to be enough.
"Call me later" i whispered to her and I turned and walked away. but before I left I turned my head to see Sarah Taylor, for the first time that I've seen it, smile.
