My Mate's Getting Married?!

Chapter Five - Editted

Aaron's Point Of View.

Five Months Later...

I stood over her grave, a sad smile on my face. I can't believe it, though. I just can't. The sleek black marble head stone was just making it even worse to believe. I sighed sadly, leaning down and placing the bright yellow tulips on her grave, next to the picture. 

The picture of me, Claire and Chloe. 

The wind blew across my face, the slight breeze tickling my nose. I felt an arm link through mine, and I looked at my mate. She looked down at the grave, her sad smile smaller than mine. She leaned down, placing a 'BFF' necklace next to the flowers. 

"I can't believe you killed her." Chloe muttered, brushing her hair out of the way. I grinned at Chloe, slipping my arm around her waist. 

"She called you a whore, I couldn't control my wolf." I defended cheaply. Chloe snorted, still looking at the grave stone sadly. "I know you miss your ONLY girl friend, but you have me know." I winked at her, pulling her away from the grave. She snorted again before returning my smile. 

"I guess. Oh, and Mitch called. Turn's out Gary want's to join the pack." I smiled at that. 

Chloe barely made it through. The knife was right next to her heart, not even and inch out of it. It never touched her heart, luckily but because she's wolf and we are allergic to silver, it made the pain worse. But, Chloe pulled through some how. Not that I'm complaining, I got my mate back. Gary was the hunter that stabbed her. He quit hunting and basically turned his life into Chlo's hands as a sorry. 

He want's to help the pack, learn to fight in human form and help that way. I said yes, because I think that that is a good thing. Dad was a bit more reluctant to let the man who nearly killed his 'little girl' into the pack, but im sure he will come round eventually. 

"Come on, we are going on a date." I dragged Chloe into the car, her giggling. 

"We went on one a few days ago." She told me, but still grinned. 

"Yeah, but what's wrong with wanting to spend all my time with the girl I love?" I asked her. 

"That was cheesy." She commented, grinning. I grinned back, my hand slipping into my pocket. I parked the car, opening the door for her. We walked inside, letting the man take us to our seats. 

Once we had ordered the food, I gulped. "Chlo?" I asked, getting her attention. 

"Yeah?" She asked, smiling softly at me. 

"You know how much I love you right? And you feel the same way?" I asked nervously. 

"Um, yes. Aaron, I love you." I smiled, walking around so I was facing her with nothing in front of me. 

"Look, Chlo. Ever since you nearly died, I thought I was never gonna get the chance to love you properly. Never go on dates, never kiss, never eventually fully mate. I thought I had lost that for being stupid and not thinking straight. I love you, Chloe Olivia Beckons. And because of that, I want you to be the person that I spend my life with, no matter what." I pulled the deep purple velvet box from my pocket, opening it to show my mother's favourite ring. "Will you be my wife?" I asked her. 

She stared at the ring in shock, not moving. She opened her mouth, a few tears falling down her face. She looked at me, a grin slowly taking place on her face. She nodded slowly before jumping on me. Everyone around us clapped, cheering. I felt Chloe crying as she gripped me tightly. 

"I love you." She muttered in my ear, wiping her tears away. I grinned at her, wiping them away with my thumb. 

"I love you so much." I pushed the ring on her finger while grinning. She grinned at me, kissing me. I hugged her close, not wanting to let go. 

I had my mate, the girl I have honestly loved for most my life and Life could NOT get any better. 

This was the beginning of the best years of our lifes, and we were Just getting started...
