Chapter 1
A Binding Spell
Lisette Ellesmere wasn't too delighted to return to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry for a 4th year. she knew it wasn't easy being a Slytherin–especially when almost every other house hated you–but Lisette didn't care. She pretty much detested everybody else besides herself. If you ask her if she learnt anything at all in Hogwarts, she'll tell you that it's to never trust anybody. Especially those the closest to you.
"Nice to see you again." Lisette smirked at her friend, Brielle.
"And you too." she bowed, in a laughing manner.
Lisette managed a small smile, before walking in the opposite direction of her friend. She boarded the Hogwwarts express and made her way to the end of the train.
"Ohhhh...fancy I see you here, Lisette!" a familiar voice snickered.
"Like you didn't know I was going to be here, Noah." Lisette scowled, sarcastically.
"C'mon...we're friends right?" he beamed.
"In your dreams." Lisette spat, coldly.
"By the way, you look really nice toda-" Noah began before being cut off by Lisette.
"Petrificus Totalus!" Lisette enchanted, waving her wand mystically in the air. Suddenly, Noah stiffed up, paralysed and fell to the ground. Lisette grinned before leaving him to find a seat. She could hear the tattering of people whispering behind her.
"Is she even allowed to do that?" one pondered.
"I guess so..." A guy shrugged, falling to his knees to examine Noah.
Lisette was joined by Brielle and Mason, two of her closest friends. They all sat down together on the plush red seats. Lisette ran her fingers through her hair before lifting her feet onto the space beside her. She lay down and twisted her dark brown hair into tiny, little ringlets.
"That was pretty intense." Brielle shrugged. When Lisette rolled her eyes, Mason decided to break the silence.
"Well, I thought it was pretty funny...Simple curse yet it catches everyone's attention everytime."
After a few seconds of silence, Lisette chuckled, "You guys are so awkward."
"Is that supposed to be a compliment?" Mason scratched his head.
"You could say that." Lisette raised her eyebrows.
The rest of the way, the three awkward Slytherins sat in silence, apart from the occasional question, "Are you hungry?" asked my Mason.
