Dad,
I visited Nan in hospital today. I was surprised I didn't see you there.. I brought grapes for her and I ended up watching her telly.
It was awkward to say the least.. I think my deafness is a barrier here.. You or Nan just don't seem to understand. I wish I could talk to you about how I feel..
But then again you probably wouldn't understand anyway because you haven't been there.
