6. Headquarters

I pause. I do as I was told and get in. I asked,"What. The heck. Is that!!!" I was pointing to the greenish vortex in front of us. He started laughing his gears off. Then he answered, "That is a groundbridge. It allows us Autobots to travel to different parts of the world within seconds." I relax because I know that I'm not going to die. Knockout says,"Hold on. I find it best to go through these things fast." I find that I have been strapped in. It felt as if he were hugging me. I pat the seat as if I were saying thank you. He started his engine and we drove into the groundbridge. We were in this huge gray building with lots of alien technology. I see eight or nine robots looking at us when we drove in. I feel uncomfortable and nervous. I start squirming around in the seat. Knockout says,"They're not gonna hurt ya. They are my team. Autobots." I stop squirming and look at the biggest one. He is blue, red, and silver. He started to walk over to us. Knockout releases the seat belt and opens the door, signaling me to get out. As I do so, Knockout transforms and he says,"Everyone! I would like you to meet Stacy. She will be staying with us from now on." Every one stares at me. I feel really small. I manage to say,"H-hello." The big Autobot came over to me and scooped me up ever so carefully and says,"Hello Stacy. My name is Optimus Prime. I am the leader of the Autobots and it is my great pleasure to welcome you to the family." I look him straight into his bright blue optics and say,"H-hello Optimus. I-I really don't know what to say. Its an honor to be with all of you." He smiles and sets me on Knockouts shoulder. "Knockout? Would you like to introduce everyone", he said. Then Knockout replied,"Uh. Not to disobey orders, but wouldn't it be easier if everyone came up and said they're name?" Optimus thinks and then he says,"Sure. Why not." All of a sudden a big, round, green Autobot came up and said,"Hi! My name is Bulkhead!" Then he stuck out his digit and I wrapped my hand around it and said,"Nice to meet you Bulkhead!" A blue and gold feminine Autobot came up and said,"Hey! I'm Arcee! It's nice to see another female besides Mikko." I look at her for a few seconds and she turns and points to a girl around my age with black and pick hair. Then I say,"Hi! Nice to meet you Arcee! I like you already!!!" She turns around and walks away. Then a white, blue, and red Autobot came up and said,"Hey there short stuff! The names Smokescreen." I giggle and say,"Hey there tall stuff! Nice to meet you!" He smiles and turns away. Then an older looking Autobot comes up and holds out a digit. I grab it and then he said, "The names Rat-" he was interrupted by a white, red, and green Autobot who says,"Doc! His name is doc!!!" Then "Doc" turns around and screams,"MY NAME ISN'T DOC!!!" Then the white, red, and green Autobot starts cracking up. I giggle. I say,"Well, if your name isn't Doc. What is it?" Pulling himself together he turns back towards me and says,"Ratchet, my name is Ratchet. Not Doc. Not Sunshine-" This time I interrupt,"S-Sunshine", I say trying not to die of laughter. He looks at me and says,"Don't even ask." He turns around and walks over to what looks like a computer. The white, red, and green Autobot walks up and says,"Hey kid! The names Wheeljack. You can call me Jackie if you want." I smile and say,"Nice one back there Jackie! I can tell we are going to get along just fine!" He pats me on the head and walks back from where he came from. Then a black and yellow Autobot comes up and says,"*bwoop beep beep bwoop*" I look at him and say,"Nice to meet you Bumblebee!" Everyone stares at me. Even Knockout looks at me in shock. I say,"Why is everyone staring?" I see a boy about two years younger than me, with red glasses, walk up behind Bumblebee and say,"You can understand him?" I look down at the boy and say,"I guess so. Why?" Then the boy continued, "Until you showed up I was the only human that could understand him. Oh by the way my name is Raf." I look at Raf and then Bumblebee and then back at Raf and say,"Oh. Well I guess that makes two of us!" Another boy gets up off of a couch and yells,"Sup! I'm Jack!" He sits back down. I smile and yell back,"Hi Jack! Nice to meet you!" All of a sudden Knockout picks me up off of his shoulder. I let out a squeal in surprise. He laughs and then sets me on the floor. Then he kneels down and says,"And I'm Knockout. I will be your guardian. And I promise with all my spark nothing with ever happen to you. If of coarse, it is OK with you." He turns to Optimus and he gives a nod of approval. I think to myself, now I have a true family.
