9. Hurt

We get back to base and Optimus walks over,"Knockout, you and Smokescreen are going to go to go to investigate about an energon signal in California." Knockout transforms and says,"Optimus......Smokescreen?? Do I have to??" Optimus laughs,"Yes! Go!" Then Knockout slowly walks over to the groundbridge entrance cursing under his breath. Then Smokescreen runs over and pokes him on the shoulder,"Isn't this exciting!! I love going on missions with you!!" Knockout looks at Smokescreen with an expressionless face,"I can barely hold back my joy." Then I say,"Wait! Optimus! Can I talk with Knockout really quick? Please?" Optimus turns around,"Quickly." Then I run over to Knockout and he kneels down, leaning on his immobilizer. Then I lean on the immobilizer and say,"Be safe out there! Don't go and get yourself blown up ok? Love you!" Then Knockout smiles,"There is no danger where I am going. Stop worrying. Love you too!" Then I back up and he gets up.  Then the groundbridge opens up and they walk through.

Then Optimus walks up to me and puts his servo on my shoulder,"He'll be ok. Stop worrying." I turn towards him,"Thanks Optimus, but if you don't mind I'll stay right here and wait for him." Then he smiles,"If that is what you wish." Then he walks back over to the computer and starts typing some more.

Stacy's POV
Please be safe. Please be safe. I am absolutely terrified. I know I shouldn't be since it's only an energon mission, but I don't want to loose him. I have to do something to calm down. I walk over to Jackie. He looks down at me and smiles,"Hey there!" I smile back,"hey...." Then he picks me up and says,"Alright. Tell uncle Jackie what's wrong." I giggle,"I'm scared. I know it's stupid but I don't want to loose him." Then Jackie says,"Knockout is tuff. Even if there was trouble he would survive." I look at the ground and back at him,"Thanks Jackie." He sets me back down on the ground and I start walking towards Knockout's berthroom. I know I shouldn't but I go in anyway. I climb up in his bed and think, Maybe I'll go to sleep and he will be back when I wake up. So I lay down and fall asleep.

Knockout's POV
When we get to the other side of the groundbridge I look around and we are in the middle of nowhere. I see a cave. "Hey! Look at this!",I say to Smokescreen. He walks over and says,"Ohhhh. Good looking Knocky! Lets see if there is any energon in it!" He runs over to the cave and I say,"Haha! Don't call me that." I run after him. Then I hear something. I Turn around and see.....nothing. I keep walking and see Smokescreen stuffing his bag with energon. He sees me and says,"Hey Knockout! Come over here and help me!" I sigh,"Ok. But we shouldn't stay long. I have a bad feeling about this cave." Smokescreen laughs,"Stop worrying. There is no bot here except us!" I hear the noise again. What the name of Primus is that??  I turn to Smokescreen, who is still putting energon in his bag, and say,"Smokescreen. Lets get out of here. There is just something not right about this cave." Smokescreen stops and walks over to me,"Alright. Lets go." We walk outside the cave and then about 20 vehicons surround us. Great. Just great. I pull out and activate my immobilizer and Smokescreen pulls out his guns. I look up and see Starscream. He transforms and lands in front of me,"Well. Well. Well. What do we have here?" He reaches for the bag of energon, but I slap his servo away. Starscream looks at me,"Ah. Knockout. I hear that you have a human pet. How lovely.  To bad you couldn't have spent more time with her." I feel a rush of anger come over me,"WHAT DID YOU DO TO HER STARSCREAM???? I SWEAR IF YOU PLACED ONE DIGIT ON HER I WILL RIP OUT YOUR SPARK!!" He laughs,"Calm down Knockout. I didn't touch her. But it is you who is in grave danger. You see. While you were in the cave, I commanded the vehicons to surround the cave. Then when you came out they would kill you. And why do you ask why I want you dead? Simple. I hate you. You ruin everything. You make my life miserable. So I decided to terminate you." I am ready to explode. He is so twisted!! Then i say,"You are something else Starscream. But if this is really about me, let Smokescreen go." I hear Smokescreen say,"NO!!! Im staying with you. No way am I letting you fight these guys on your own!!" Starscream smiles,"Fine. I will let your friend leave. I am, after all very flexible." I turn to Smokescreen,"If I don't make it out of here alive, take care of Stacy. Tell her I love her very much and that I will always be with her. Go Smokescreen." He looks at me and then he walks over,"I will. But I promise that won't happen." He backs up, transforms, and drives away.

I turn to Starscream and he smiles at me. Then he says,"Now. You will face your death. VEHICONS!!! ATTAAACCKKK!!!!!!"

*Back at base*

~Smokescreen to base. Smokescreen to base. Can you read me~
Optimus replies,"I read you Smokescreen."
~Optimus, I need a groundbridge~
Optimus opens up the groundbridge and he sees Smokescreen running through all out of breath and frantic. Optimus walks over to him,"Smokescreen, where's Knockout?" Smokescreen still out of breath says,"Cave....Vehicons..... Starscream......Revenge...... Knockout.......Needs help!!!" Optimus looks up and says,"Wheeljack, Bumblebee your with me. Ratchet get us a groundbridge to the energon signal." Wheeljack walks over to Optimus and so does Bumblebee. The groundbridge opens and they walk through...

*Back at the cave*

When the walk through they see Knockout, out of breath, cut everywhere, and fighting with all his might. They run over to help him but they were to late. A vihicon shot him in the back and he fell over. He was knocked out. Optimus then yells,"Knockout!!!! Bumblebee, get Knockout back to base. Wheeljack, help me take down these vehicons." Bumblebee then runs through the caos to get to Knockout. When he reaches Knockout he lifts him him up the best he can, requests a groundbridge, and walks through it. Meanwhile Optimus and Jackie are kicking some cons butts.

When they take them down, Optimus requests a groundbridge. One appears and they walk through.

*Back at base*
Stacy's POV

I wake up to hear all sorts of comition coming from the main room. Knockout and Smokescreen must be back. I get up and rub my eyes. I manage to climb down off of Knockout's bed and walk towards all the comotion. I walk over and to my horror I see Knockout, well knocked out, with all sorts of cuts in Ratchets med bay.
