//Cameron's pov//

It had been a month since Jacquelyn first went to the hospital and she still hasn't woken up. I've visited her every day since, even skipping some classes. Today when I woke up before heading to the hospital, I got my phone, and saw a few messages from friends at school. I ignored them, knowing it wouldn't be important. I grabbed my jacket and went out to get in my car.

When I pulled up at the hospital, everything looked exactly the same as it did the last time. The bushes in the front needing to be watered desperately, most of the parking spots taken. I saw an elderly couple leaving, and smiled at the thought of growing old with someone. I walked inside the building, and waved at the receptionist Kimberly. I took the elevator up to Jackie's floor, and walked over to her room. There were no nurses in there at the time, so I just walked in. "Hello Jacquelyn. Looking lovely today." I said quietly taking her hand. I had gotten used to not getting a giggle or a little response back, and I had started to forget what her voice sounded like. I saw a small smile form on her lips, which made me smile. She looked happy today.

"Well, the doctor told me that you could still hear whatever I said, so I decided I would sing to you today." I said quietly. I got out my guitar, and started to play the opening chords to Sad Song by We The Kings.

You and I

We're like fireworks and symphonies

exploding in the sky

With you I'm alive

Like all the missing pieces of my heart they

finally collide.

Without you

I feel broke

Like I'm half of a whole

Without you I've got no hand to hold

Without you I feel torn like a sail in a storm

Without you

I'm just a sad song.

The heart monitor next to Jacquelyn's bed started to go faster and faster and I started freaking out. I yelled out for a nurse and someone quickly ran in. One nurse ended up pushing me out of the room, and I didn't get to know what was happening. I tried to peek through the blinds but there was a curtain surrounding the bed, so I couldn't see in.

About 3 hours later, a nurse came out of the room, and told me I could go in. I walked in and when the doctors saw me, he flashed a small smile and left. "I'm sorry Jackie, but I-I don't know if I should be here. I don't want that to happen again. Bye Jacquelyn." I said sadly. "C-Cam.. Please stay." I heard a faint voice mutter from where Jacquelyn was. I looked back, and saw her sitting up a little in her bed. "Jackie!" I yelled softly. I ran over to her bed and picked up her small hand. "I missed you so much." I whispered. She just nodded, and I smiled, knowing that my Jackie was back.

After a few check ups from nurses and me catching her up on what happened when she was unconscious, she was almost back to normal. "Jackie.." I spoke. She looked over at me, signaling me to continue. "Why did you do it?" I asked quietly. "I-I didn't think I was good enough - for anyone - and after you left, I just thought maybe I didn't have a reason anymore, and I'm still not sure. I've been having these 'what if' moments ever since I woke up. What if I had died. Would anyone care? Would anyone visit me? And I realized that it wouldn't have mattered, because I would have been leaving you, and before you ask, yes, I could hear everything you said." She said quietly, a small smile formed on her face. "Jackie, I meant every word I said when you were asleep. I do love you." Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink, and I pulled her into my chest. "I love you so much Jacquelyn." I said, eliminating the remaining space between our faces. Our lips moved in sync perfectly, and I felt her pull back for air. "I love you too." I heard her say quietly. "I... I love you." She repeated, as I pulled her small body in for another kiss.
