While venturing toward the north, Zelda looked around, seeing the land she ruled, then at Link. "Zelda, what's wrong? I haven't heard you say a word ever since we left. Something bugging you? You can tell me, if you want," Link glanced back for a minute, then straight ahead to keep an eye out for anything intercepting their way. Zelda got startled, then replied,"It's nothing. It's just that...Never mind! How much farther til we get there? Just wondering." "We're almost there! Just a mile or two away! Don't worry about it! You'll be fine.," Link smiled. Zelda smiled then glanced around the scenes of the dark night. "Link, are you sure we're heading the correct way?," Zelda kept glancing around the dark wooded forest. Link pulls on Epona's reins, then looks at his map with a lantern, then back at his heart. "Of course we are, milady. We're getting there!," Link places the map away, then looks up, becoming shocked. "What is it, Link?,"Zelda glances at Link, seeing his face in shock, then glances up. "We're already here?," Link jumps off Epona then takes a peek though the rusted iron gate, bordering him from the entrance, then at the lock. Zelda heads toward Link, placing her hand on his shoulder. "How do we even in? It's locked and there's no key, I believe.," Zelda examined the old lock, then heads back toward Epona. "Forget it Link. It was a nice attempt. Maybe you can conjure something else up for me to attempt." Link sighed then headed for Epona and Zelda, but suddenly desisted when he heard the sound of a chain rattling and the iron door opening. Zelda hopped off of Epona's back and headed for the door. "Well, I guess it's second thought. I'll be careful and just in case, stay here at the entrance. Okay?," Zelda kissed her true love while feeling a chill go through her cheeks, rosy red from the cold air of night. Link smiled and kissed her on the cheek before seeing his childhood friend leave for the night. Zelda sprinted away from Link, keeping her tears of despair silent, not looking back, heading for the door. Link looked down to find a small cherry blossom, then smiles.
Zelda closed the door behind her back. Leaving nothing but herself in the darkness of the castle, only using candlelight as her guide. "Hello?," her voice echoed through the halls, moving the flames with the wind in her voice. Zelda grabbed a candle staff, piercing the darkness of the night. She looked around, sighting many paintings and artifacts from around Hyrule. "That's strange... All these paintings display women from many eras of my country's history.," she sighted a painting of a young girl, the age of fifteen. Suddenly, a chill sprinted up her spine, making the Princess of Hyrule jump, releasing the staff toward the floor. Wax spilled onto the floor. "Oh no!," she looked around for a cloth to adsorb the wax, but no wax was on the floor. Only a feather, stained raven, remained.
