Chapter One

Kelsey's POV

"Damn it" I said under my breath. It was only 3 days away from prom and I still don't have a date. Well if nobody wants to ask me to prom then I guess I can go home an......... BUZZ, incoming call from BROTHER....... Well I really should answer it if I want a ride home cause the weather right now is really crappy. "Hello?" I said not wanting him to mention PROM at all.

"Hey, need a ride?"

"It's crappy outside so that will be a yes"

"Okay be there in 5"

"Okay thanks"

"No problem Kels"

**hung up**

Wow! I'm so surprised he didn't mention PROM once. He usually goes on and on about how he had the night of his life at prom....
Oh yeah your probably wondering were I am right now, I'm at my stupid school were nobody really seems to fucking care about me. BEEP

As I head out the front of the school I run into the schools bullies. Rachel and her boyfriend Zack. They have been bullying me since 1st grade. I'm even surprised that Rachel's mom even let her date that young, but yet again my mom wouldn't care either. Ever since my dad left my mom our lives have been complete hell. So to make it easier for my mom, me and my brother (Harry) decided to move out of the house. So me and Harry saved up money and bought an apartment. Also my mom kept my dads last name........ Styles which in my mind is a pretty cool last name. As I walk bye zachel (there dating name) Rachel glares at me and tells me to stop eyeing her boyfriend which clearly I didn't cause he's 100% NOT MY FUCKING TYPE and since when was she so PROTECTIVE of who was looking at her boyfriend. When I spot Harry he immediately comes over to me and scoops me into a BIG hug which usually he doesn't do unless something bad happens. "What happened?" I asked with concerned.

"Mo....."

"Shhhhhhh you don't have to say no more it's okay" I tell him rubbing his back knowing that it would be soon that our mom would be leaving us.

"She's gon....."

"Hey hey hey it's okay, we both know that she's in a better place now" I say tearing up and slowly walk both of us to Harry's convertible. I said to him that "I'll drive" and he handed me the keys still crying. I started the car and drove home telling him all the fun times we had together with her on our way to our apartment. He chuckled at some of them which made me feel better just knowing that my mom is probably looking down at us right now and laughing along with us. My mom has been battling cancer for 4 years now. She was my best friend (besides Harry), I would complain to her about EVERYTHING and she wouldn't mind. She sat there and helped me through my problems. Before my dad left he gave us each $5,00,00 since we weren't to good on money. Me and Harry both have jobs to help pay our bills even though we still have that $5,000,000 sitting in our bank accounts at the bank. Man I wish she was still here so I could've at least have said good - bye before she left us. I know I should be crying too but I'll wait till me and Harry get home so we can let it ALL out.

Hey sorry this was a sad chapter but I felt the need to start it off with some action even though this is the first chapter of this book
